1838: Steal Mass Production from Sumeria

1840: Sell Mass Prod. to Theo for furs, WM, 7gpt, 830g


1842: upgrade ironclads

1844: Greece Exforce departs

1850: Greece Exforce lands. Steal Amphibious War from Sumeria.

Suggest build in place. Trash a few units to expand the borders after killing Sparta. We then gain furs and dyes as native lux.

Doh. I just played the set without seeing AK's posts. For somereason I didn't get an email.
 
IHT: Take care of our obsolete defenders. My goal is to replace all regular troops with vets.

Turn 1: I see that we are up no techs on anyone. Nice work, that is really helpful for this style of game. Galleons become transports. Ironclasds become destroyers.
IBT: LOTs of pollution.
Turn 2: Reupped furs for straight cash, bought ivory for straight cash.
IBT: Nada
Turn 3: Lots of WLTKD.
IBT: Nada
Turn 4: MOre pollution, and Sumeria pops mass production. Kill a privateer.
IBT: nada
Turn 5: More movement. Spy plant on greece fails. First safe steal fails. @nd suceeds. Sell to all remaining factions. Start a ton of commercial docks

Turn 6: Sorry guys, I queued some builds. I normally never do this in an SG, but I put some Commercial docks and colloseums in the queue.
IBT: Portugal is getting the door here.
Turn 7: Kill another privateer. Destroyers make great wooden ship hunters. Used our 2 knight only armies to capture Sardica from the Greeks.
IBT: Nada
Turn 8: Healing and building.
IBT: Nada
Turn 9: Lost 1 knight only army taking Braga, the other small greek island city. Make peace with the greeks and give them mass production.
IBT: Byzantines and protugese sign peace. Bursa goes from Red to Purple, again. (5th time in my turn set alone, Babs vs Portugese).
Turn 10: Just building and RR'ing.

We can use my turn set or AK's, really sorry for the mixup guys.

IIRC, romeo and I did much of the same with the upgrades and commercial docks. It's been awhile and I'm an idiot, so my recall may be wrong. My rationale for the exforce was that I would rather gift Alex along than have to ask. IMHO, Sumeria needs to be knocked down a few. I was just getting ready to ask if I could play another 10 when romeo posted. If there are no takers, I'll grab romeo's save in 72 hours and play.
 
I used Mapstat, and the Sumerian Culture was aroun 79,000. It takes 160,000 to win. We have around 40,000, while babylon has ~60,000. (All of these #'s are from the top of my head while I sit at work/thesis)
I highly doubt that we will have a cultural problem.
One of the biggest goals is keeping Greece, Babylon, Sumeria and the byzantines alive and kicking. The larger their core, the faster they research. We want them all alive and in Democracy. That is one of the reasons I like my game, as I didn't gut some important Greek cities.
BTW, I forgot to mention we now make ~3350 gpt. That is just a little bit.

Things are getting interesting in the Chinese sense.

Preflight: switch Reykjavik to army. Please keep building armies here no matter what. Everyone is fascist except Hanni who is an anarchist. Change some builds to hydro plants.

1854: Clean up pollution (no more mention of this, although I did it every turn) Decide we can take dyes near Isin and Kadesh when we are next at war with Sumeria without crippling their research. Start working to preposition the forces to do so.

1856: Fail to steal MT from Sumeria. Agent Gweeto escapes unscathed. Trade Sumeria wines, incense, spices for dyes. Pick up the cav army on 2 mountain island.

IT: WLTKD all over.

1858: Hanni went fascist, damn it. Gift Sardica and Braga to Hanni. Also gift them wines and incense. Add Hamburg to future hit list. Steal motorized transport from Sumeria. Sell it to Dora for 1610g and WM. Gift her wines and incense. Sell MT to Henry for 877g and WM. Gift him wines, spices and gems. Sell MT to Hanni for 269g and WM. Sell MT to Alex for 80g, WM. Give him spices.

IT: Things get interesting. Hanni building UN.

1860: Steal flight from Hanni. Change Amsterdam to Palace. Investigate Babylon - UN finsihes in 13.

1862: Steal Fission from Babs. Sabotage production and they declare. Agent Gweeto caught. Plant another spy in Babylon.

1864: Sell flight to Sumeria for 1962g + WM. Steal Ecology from Byz. Fail to steal Rocketry from Sumeria, not caught. Aridianople will build UN in 31.

1866: Sell Fission to Sumeria for 1900g + Rocketry. Change York to palace (Apollo prebuild). MP being built in Heraclea (42) and Eridu (11). UN in Babylon in 9 turns. Sabotage UN in Babylon and MP in Eridu.

1868 - Steal AW from Sumeria.

IT: Kafah gets bombed. Hanni lands at Karasjak.

1870: Kill the landing force. Hanni won't talk. Hanni builds UN in Babylon in 8. WTH? Sabotage it again.

Keep sabotaging Hanni's wonder builds and keep an eye on everyone else. Spend the money. Forces are in position to grab dyes when Sumeria declares.

When the army build finishes, please fill it with marines so we have an amphibious army.

Oops, that was a little longer than I intended. Oh well, will start tonight and likely finish tomorrow.
 
Only a couple things worth noting. First, we stole Computers from Sumeria and then gave it away to everyone. We also completed the UN and Manhatten Project in the same turn.

For the previous player - we don't need every improvement in every city. Or colosseums, period. The only time colosseums are worth building is in a culture game, or maybe in the early game if you have one city much larger than the rest. But we do not need happiness, and colosseums are a waste. Also, hospitals are not necessary in cities that won't get bigger than 13 or 14. With our build, we can just give those extra tiles to another city.

bedhead, you should know I r an idiot. ;) I got caught up in working on the use of engineers and cops. I'll behave in the future so we can finish this.
 
I built a lot of the cols to try and get us some culture. I also use them to try to get WLTKD places without using mass units or lots of specialists.
 
The save A quick synopsis.
We are underworkered. We need a lot more workers. I didn't build any though, thus the training aspect. Our cities are too big. Any time we have a city over around 18 people, it is over populated. I spent a lot of worker turns starving our own cities by mining some irrigation.
I built a bunch of mech infantry, upgraded some more.
I built a ton of airports, we can build more as they are free.
This is just very simple builder turns. No New techs popped.
Sumeria is at war with many people.
