Just signed up, why can't I post pictures and links?

I'm not a bot, dagnamit! I'm a bona-fide user, 100% human, who wants to post high-quality responses in a couple topics complete with linked references and screenshots.

But your stinkin' system keeps telling me I can't do that because it thinks I'm spam. How does one work around it? Do I need to earn some kind of reputation? Can an administrator here please fastrack me a notch or two so I can submit my post?

Nevermind, it's working now. Either I clicked the link and it took a while to take effect, or I hadn't yet clicked it (in which case it'd be awesome if the site informed you when you tried to post that you need to verify the account before having the additional rights)

It was because we enabled a feature that requires 3 posts before links can be posted to combat spam. Sorry for the inconvenience.
