Just throwing this out there, without a clue about the sensitivities around here...

Post count means nothing

Hurry up, both warpus and Dachs! you're only 1,251 and 1,449 posts away respectively!

I don't doubt that you will. But it's still surreal. Maybe it's because he's a newb and you're a Certified Idiot, who knows? :p

Veltemaster! Goodfella!

I hear word that a fairly recent anger has been awoken from its relatively short slumber. I have felt the breeze, cast from the seas, where the tropical depression of your angst and indignity threatens to swirl into a tropical storm of outright butthurt and petty malice.

Kind sirs...I've heard word of your newb rebellion.

Social dynamics are complex. I've been trying to figure what makes this particular forum tick for a while. But really it just seems pretty much chaotic to me.

There's various age-related dynamics, but those you'll find in RL just the same.

Then there's the whole idea that some people appear cleverer/wittier than others.

People have their own styles of posting. But again people have their own styles of speech and writing in RL.

To address the "sensitivities" issue of the OP a bit, I don't think there are any particular ones unique to this forum.

But then, of course, I'm comparatively new round here, too. So far, people seem to be very tolerant of each other, as far as I can tell.

I will not try to hide the fact that I am not only fairly new here, but that this is actually the first forum that I felt I should become a member of, ever.

So I'm glad those "sensitivities" have only been haunting my own imagination, and not any particular forum in general and thankfully not this one!

:)

So, turning off the sarcastic comment generator for one second, this was also true of myself back in 2006.

I guess that is true for everybody on any forum. I am glad people can relate to my story of overcoming my fears of being the newb that has to prove himself to everybody to earn the respect of the more senior members... well I won't repeat the whole story again using different words. I see now that while starting out as a sort of joke, I got a little carried away, after reading all the replies, and started taking my own shenanigans a little more serious than I had first intended them to be.

Go post on an image board, everyone is anonymous every post has to be taken on its merit.
