@OP: Oh well, higher PC just gives you somehow credibility. Because you normally would not think that someone with a high PC got that by blurting out nonsense in the forum.

Social dynamics are complex. I've been trying to figure what makes this particular forum tick for a while. But really it just seems pretty much chaotic to me.

There's various age-related dynamics, but those you'll find in RL just the same.

Then there's the whole idea that some people appear cleverer/wittier than others.

People have their own styles of posting. But again people have their own styles of speech and writing in RL.

To address the "sensitivities" issue of the OP a bit, I don't think there are any particular ones unique to this forum.

But then, of course, I'm comparatively new round here, too. So far, people seem to be very tolerant of each other, as far as I can tell.
