KaiserIOT: Dream of a World

The United People's Republics of Yugoslavia believe that Arctica should join the EU.

Emperor condemns yougoslavian government

the Emperor of the Romans, Andreas I Laskaris, carefully condemns only the Yugoslavian government. you are Stalinist. given how evil Stalin was during his reign, its not a forgone conclusion that whoever the PM is is also evil.

these are the excerpts from the Roman Constitution:

1. the people have absolute freedom. absolute. they are free to worship barney for all we care. it doesmt matter if you are Greek, Turkish, Serbian, Kurdish or anyone. you get complete freedom. well, as long as you properly immigrate there. illegal immigrents are turned away at the border, asked to do it right. its not that hard.

2. we may be an absolute monarchy, but its an Elective absolute monarchy, as the Emperor does not have a family. even if he does and even if the heir is of age, he still has to represent an ideology (communist for example) and beat out the other people.

3. we are a peaceful, but slightly militant nation, owing to us starting this close to a very hostile government in Belgrade. our formation is in fact, in direct answer to Yugoslavia encroaching on Greek borders.

we do not wish for war.

Premier Stjepan Filipović on Roman Issue

yQpgDJU.jpg

The Premier Stjepan Filipović himself said in a TV interview about the Roman Issue:

"It is clear that the absolutist Roman state - although it is not quite clear how Romans somehow exist in Turkey after 1,000 years - is a state created by power hungry reactionaries who became afraid that the Communist Revolution in the Balkans would give the example to their workers to rise up and demand their rights. They crackdown dissidents, they kill without remorse fellow Communists, they exploit the workers and force them to work in the most terrible and inhuman conditions, that could only be compared to the Nazi concentration camps. And what do the workers gain from this inhumanly hard work? Nothing! Everything goes to the pockets of few capitalists who enrich themselves with the sweat and blood of their workers. And the Emperor lives in extravagant luxury unseen since Medieval times while his people starve to death!

The so called Romans - which is a joke because they are a mix of Turks, Armenians, Kurd and oppressed Greeks - call themselves a peaceful nation. Yet, they lay claim on the territory of the Yugoslav People's Republic of Greece and the Aegean part of the Yugoslav People's Republic of Macedonia and they accuse us of militarism, when we did nothing more than make sure that the two above Republics were reunified and that the fascists who took power the Peloponnese and Bulgaria were defeated and brought to justice. But of course, the pseudo-Romans show their support to the defeated Golden Dawn government in the Peloponnese, which was defeated by the glorious Yugoslav army.

What can you expect from nations which lay claim on the territory of an other sovereign nation and support a defeated neo-Nazi regime. If the Romans truly wish to have good and fruitful relations with Yugoslavia, they must give up their claims on Yugoslav territory (like Macedonia and the Peloponnese) and accept the current borders between our two nations."

Alexis Tsipras on Roman Issue

LdfcIOk.jpg

The Premier of the Yugoslav People's Republic of Greece, Alexis Tsipras, posted on Facebook about the Roman Issue:

"It is clear that the Romans have designs on Greek territory. They constantly accuse the Federal Government of Yugoslavia of encroaching the Greek borders, when Greece is a Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. Greece is part of Yugoslavia and has the same rights as all other states of Yugoslavia, like Croatia or Bulgaria or Albania. What we clearly see, however, is that the Romans have designs on Greek territory, like the Aegean Islands, and even on Greek mainland. They are disillusioned if they think they can subject Greece to occupation again, like they did from 146 BC to 1453 AD. The Romans are not Greeks and the Greeks are not Romans. Learn some history, guys! ;)

Remember to like! :) "

wrong. we never even knew such a group existed until you told us just now. apparently some Greeks still chose to stay... oh well, nothing we can do.

you are missing quite a bit of land there to claim, Yugoslavia. but that's ok. ink must be in short supply there. here, we will export some, if you need it that badly.

we have no plans to expand in Europe. or anywhere else, really. so your precious lands are safe from roman "aggression".

It is good to know that the Roman Empire, despite of all it's shortcomings, is still interested in peace in the region.

Is the "Roman" Empire sovereign or a puppet of the Company of the Dawn? Vancore asks as the hailing back to Byzantium times would make us think the current Nikolas Aυγή has gone for the "good old days" of Eastern Rome, thus aiding in the formation of the Purple Phoenix. Is this true?

What ever the case Vinsin Vancore will back the Yugoslav government in their confrontation with Constantinople if Yugoslavia in turn back us in our claimants in America in defiance of Texan greed. We cannot allow a possible puppet of the Dawn to hinder Gethic operations, so best to strengthen our connections to Yugoslavia for just in case. Of course Yugoslavia have to prove this is a two way street and aid us against any attempt by the Texans to stop our plans in the former United States of America. Wyoming will be ours!

Roman Senatorial elections

the Roman people, who are indeed a mix of Greek, Turkish and some Armenians and Kurdish people, still want some political freedom.

well, that, and the Emperor doesn't want to run everything.

the parties currently registered in the senate are:

Democratic party of Rome

they favor a more liberal and smarter government spending, like universal healthcare, better innovation and all that. they are also the 'peaceful' types. that is, less inclined to go to war.

Republican Party of Rome

the opposite of the democratic party.

Roman Workers Party

your favorite communist party.

independent parties

all other parties that have too small of a membership or voting share to be its own party. nationalists, religious fundamentalists, and such are represented here.

the senate has 100 seats, because the Emperor sucks at math, and decided 100 seats os good enough for the nation. this works out to be 450,000 per seat.

the Democratic party is voted to receive 40 seats.

the Republican party is voted to receive 20 seats.

the Roman Workers Party is voted to receive 30 seats.

the independent Parties is voted to receive 10 seats.

the Emperor hopes that the four major "parties" will work together to create a better future for the Roman empire.

the Roman senate is responsible for the Civilian development of the Empire.

no. the Roman Empire is completely independent and isn't a puppet of anything.

(ooc: well, it is the puppet of me, but people hate metagaming.)

Remember to shoot me a PM giving me a general idea of your orders, even if you posted them here. I want to make sure I have everyone. :)

You and Tyo are joining this turn, so neither of you are required to send in orders.

More information of the Roman Empire

Military: the Roman Military is unified under a combined arms force. with the Navy, Airforce, and Army working together to form a cohesive fighting force. they currently have 400,000 people currently serving in the armed forces. the high number was because of the unsure nature of our relations between us and Yugoslavia and Kurdistan. and everyone else, as well, apparently.

the Military is designed to be a professional force, using superior combined arms tactics, technology, and high regionalism (when necessary) to defeat foes on the battlefield. they are also highly mobile.

the Emperor is looking into plans that will increase their mobility on the battlefield, their relative ease of use, and lessening dependency on nonrenewable resources like crude oil.

Tolerance for supers: Superheros are treated as VIP's here. there is a government run insurance company that will cover all the damages they make, should they damage anything in their shenanigans.

languages: the two official languages is Greek and Turkish. knowing at least one of those is required to do pretty much anything here.

Currency: the Roman Dollar.

Government, in more detail: it is an Elective Absolute Monarchy. the elections are based on the person itself, not the parties they represent. every level of government is elected, not appointed. also of note, there are two leaders of the Empire. sort of. there is the Military leader, the Emperor, and there is a civilian leader, the head of the senate. the Emperor has the right to overrule or direct the civilian leader, but that's about it.

the Emepror is greek, so the head of the senate is turkish. the opposite is also true. the Civilian leader can be elected as Emperor or Empress, if the person wins the election. but then, someone else has to take over as the Civilian leader.

in a pinch, he can be the leader of the Roman Empire until the next election if the Emperor is ill, or dead.

Foreign policy: dependent on the Emperor and/or the Senate. usually will do what is right. the Emperor and the senate determines what is the right thing to do in the given situation.

Technological level: fairly high. the Emperor is already beginning plans to enhance the technological power of the nation for at least military means, and to be self sufficient, so that, even under total blockade, the people would not suffer.

Gethic_Hand_Darker_Flag.png

With the flag of the Gethic Hand behind him Vinsin Vancore sat at his desk, drinking a cup of tea while consuming a piece of starberry tart that his staff had prepared for him. While enjoying the tastes of the tart and the calmness of the tea he was checking on his laptop information reguarding his heavy industrailisation projects and on the now functioning Operation Monroe. Just as he was slipping a bit of tea knocking hit the door; Vancore placed the cup on the saucer and place his laptop down. It was the time for the appointment…

“Enter!”

At Vancore’s command a thin, black haired gentleman entered the room in a white shirt and black trousers. He carried a massive folder in spite of his thinness.

“Aww Dr Thomas Knight” went Vinsin Vancore, signalling the man to sit down on the centre chair in opposite of himself. “How is testing?”

“Slower than hoped yet it is impressive” went the weapons researcher and tester, placing the folder were the laptop was and then sitting down with his hands together. “I hope you will find it impressive also.”

“We will see” went the Director. “I take your tank experiments may be well but the prime factor is going according to the scheme?”

“Aww yes… Project Black Dog” went Dr Knight, opening the folder to reveal many documents, including an image of what appeared to be a armed rover.Vancore began to look through the documents.

“If you began with…” began Dr Knight.

“I am overviewing it” interrupted Vancore.

They both were silent of a few minutes…

“Nice car” went Vancore.

“Tis be more than a nice car, mein Director” went the developer. “The Assault Rover is designed for hit and run operations; essentially an armoured guerrilla vehicle which can be useful for recon. It is mounted with a machine gun to pick off troopers along with missile launchers for assault against both light vehicles and aircraft. It will be excellent for rural and urban warfare.”

“Field tested?”

“We have been trying out prototypes in Hawaii. We have plans, with your permission, for additional tests…”

“Tested in combat, I see not?”

“Not yet I am afraid.”

“Of course! I see there are enough test models ready to be tested in California?”

“California?”

“Yes for…”

“But Director! These test models are for testing, not battle! They are armoured but they need lab conditions of more tests before…”

“You will commission a batch of battle ready Assault Rover.”

“I also thought the operation had begun!”

“Yes but it is better to be late for the party than not go at all, no?”

“We… err…may be able to commission….err… 5 at minimum for testing…”

“All I ask; it is best we know this new blade can shed blood not by attempting to chop wood but by cutting flesh.”

“Err… as you say my… err… wise leader.”

“Errs?”

“Err… yes we get to it…”

“I will email General Thyrng and commission you back to Hawaii for the added transport for the five or more battle rovers. I think 12 were able for field testing in the documents but double check you should doctor. I want the assault tested with your presence, so I will commission among my Coreguard an escort.”

“Err… thank you Dir…"

“And if you ‘err’ once more I will have… wait I think you get the message?”

“Yes and thank you Director” went the developer getting off his chair and leaving the room, with the files on Vancore’s desk still. The Director smiled and went to slip his tea… “Wait a minute” went Vancore noticing the coldness of the liquid; he picked up the phone on his desk, clicked a few buttons and then yelled “Cookery services! Request a warm tea at once! Bring it in a pot this time!”
