A relatively quiet turn of consolidation.
An undefended Kunming was conquered. CW units W of the city bombarded (not very successfully).
Sangkoelirang captured.
Dutch DD and CW BB sunk S of Bankjoewangi. Didn't have quite enough left to finish off that transport though......
2 Chinese MGs killed in barricade E of Sian. Lost 1 Inf. (an elite one)
CW fighter over New Guinea lost the dog fight with my DB.
Pretty much the rest of Australia got bombed by my Betty's.

The Japanese may have stopped the invasion of Kwaljein, but they paid a high price for it.
2 subs and 2 BBs sunk near Kwaljein. 1 CA redlined. 1 Allied DB lost to flak.
Damaged DD in the north Pacific by air strike.
Jap Inf redlined and forced to retreat into Kudat by Dutch CE.
Kudat bombed by BBs, CA, 10+ air units and all I got for my efforts was the sinking of a CA, DD and destroying a Zero. Bunch of redlined naval units in the city, including what must be one of the few remaining Jap transports.
Rabaul was bombed with equally crappy results. A large CW force has landed outside the city, but given what I now know about the defenses of Rabaul, it might be pretty dicey capturing the city.
Paratrooper S of Chengu killed by Chinese Inf. (and some help from air and artillery)
3 Paratroopers killed outside Lanchow. (What can I say, it was a bridge too far.....)

It's time to give up. I'm loosing badly - in both games. There's no hope of turning
the tide, and I don't want to prolong this round just because it's fun to sink US
carriers with subs.
I would be angry at me for the many, many mistakes and blunders I made
(especially during turn 1 and 2), but I have the feeling that Misfit would have
won this round even if I had not made that many mistakes. Both games are two
defeats I deserved, but also two well earned victories for Misfit.
Good luck, Misfit, I'm pretty sure you'll win this contest.
