Kill them! Kill them all!

Wasnt the us military that carried out all sorts of war crimes cause the presidents told it that it was protecting 'merica and all that?
Country culture obviously plays a role; the us isnt turkey. But i doubt your military- which is mercenary, so very tied to its comnanders- is immune from acts of savagery sold as protecting 'merica.

Which war crimes are those?

What the US military recognizes as lawful orders are defined by US law. If you want someone to intervene against the US declaring war on someone, even if it is for the most base purpose and sold under false pretenses, the US military is not the place to look. If said declaration of war defies international law, that's unfortunate but not really the US military's problem.

As to "acts of savagery," that's the very core of the job. In ANY military.

Are we still debating whether US military would actually fire lethal rounds into immigrant mobs at the border? I think that scenario just played out on a small level and the answer was definitely no. Of course most of the military was actually in Texas and nowhere near the actual incident. The border patrol had no problems lobbing pepper spray and kiddos though!

Well, no one died from getting CS gas and beanbag rounds fired at them, which would not have been the case had we decided to fire our standard-issue ball ammunition at them. So your attempt to equate the use of riot control methods and weapons to the use of lethal force is patently ridiculous. Can riot gear kill someone? Sure. But so can just about anything if used the right way. However, riot gear is not specifically designed to kill so outfitting soldiers with said riot gear sends a pretty clear message that you do not intend to use lethal force.
Wait, what? Equate? I was making the point that there is no such thing as purely non-lethal attacks.

Did you think I was just trying to ‘win’ the thread?

Roxsana Rodriguez died following lack of medical treatment in a privately run immigration detention center. An autopsy concludes that she was beaten.

A transgender woman who died in Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody after being held in a privately operated detention center was likely physically abused there, according an autopsy report released Monday, and died after several days of severe, untreated dehydration.

Roxsana Hernández Rodriguez, 33, a transgender woman from Honduras, died on May 25, nine days after being transferred to a dedicated unit for transgender women at the Cibola County Correctional Center in New Mexico, which is operated under contract by CoreCivic, the second-largest private prison company in the United States.
