Kingdom Come: Deception (Game Thread)

At this early stage things are mostly cloudy, but everyone has at least made a first impression. Here are mine.

8. Csargo: my favorite cartoonist. Little information. Followed Visor out the gate as usual, then turned abruptly. Something odd there to be watched.

This may not have come across the way I intended. The something odd, I think, is with Visor. I don't trust Csargo particularly, but I do trust his instincts. His typical following of Visor ending so abruptly and decisively definitely should raise eyebrows. In case he is looking for a gif to say it for him I'll volunteer instead...he really is suspicious about Visor, for some reason only he could explain...and he most likely won't but that doesn't mean it isn't a good one.

As Tim mentioned, I am a new guy so am not at all sure, but I have a hypothesis to put to the thread:

Evidence: On page 5, the second, third and fourth posts have post number 82. From the fifth post the posts numbers continue, and the page rolls over at the post numbered 100, therefore there are 22 posts on that page.

Hypothesis 1: While the HRE does not currently include the Transvaal, it does at some point and it is quite conceivable that the evil Sigmund is recruting vampires to his cause, and as the forum is a mirror onto the soul, these posts are not truely visible because pzelda and Visorslash are really vampire rebel scum. [OOC: This is a hidden rule that is supposed to give us information]

Hypothesis 2: Someone is messing with the record of our town meetings, and they have made a mistake with the result. This may not be pzelda and Visorslash , but perhaps someone who was talking around then. [OOC: there is some hidden rule that involves backend post editing, and this has screwed up the DB accidentally]

Hypothesis 3: The record of our town meeting could have gone wrong at any time, but just happened to be while we are discussing potentially supernatural rebels [OOC: A Xenforo bug, that just happened to appear in this thread not the other thousands I have been involved in].

I am not really in a position to judge these hypotheses, as I am not so experienced in this type of intrigue. Should we tell the scribe? [OOC: I this the sort of thing that happens in these games, or should we make a bug report.]

The level of attention to detail on display there is awe inspiring.

I genuinely think there is no meaning to this post numbering error at all, other than what might be a routine Xenforo failure that usually goes unnoticed because outside of a new guy in a mafia game no one looks that closely.

But I'll go with Visor is rebel scum and a vampire to boot if he survives past night two.

If only I could read and write. Then I'd know what this said...

If I'd known that so many people were going to riff on illiteracy being a thing in a game conducted entirely by text, I might have rethought that idea. ;)

Would you guys please move on already? Think about this...I have played four games exactly the same way...in one of them I was an extremely successful wolf, in two of them I lost as town...now, if I randed wolf why would I do anything different? What I have always done worked for me as a wolf. I'm looking for something that will work better for me as town.

This feels like frustrated townie more than anything else. Overall, still don't like Tims game thus far.

Tim, when have I ever been dangerous?

Never, ever. ;)

I'm still waiting for your inner tunnel to come out. You can't help it.

Visor, thoughts on Csargo?

Dolby, thoughts on Rask?

Rakkoon, what do you think of Tim?

I initially thought Dolb and TS felt townie last night. Rereading TS still seems townie, Dolby less so. GK and pzelda seem good so far. Not sure what to make of LA's bias against us non-literate people. Don't like Rask's entrance into the thread. Still think Visor's at best null, but I didn't really like any of his post's yesterday.

Unvote:, Vote: Rask

5. Pzelda: wants to read the wagons and won't be much help until there's been at least one lynch, but trying to participate. Keep for now.

I often do wagonomics later on, especially in slower games and as mafia, but i don't know where are you getting this impression from in this game.
Some other impressions sound fake as well. Some of them don't even pretend to be impressions, they're metas.

Dolbster is one of the people giving reads in this short time.

But I do get a slight town-vibe on pzelda because he's got that solvy feel. When he's scum, he doesn't like posting.

You might look at it from that point, but I would like to hear from him how he came to these conclusions. In case of Jo, it might be just me taking a joke reaction too seriously.

I like Csargo's posting. When reading Tim's slightly frustrated post, I can see how Csargo arrived at this conclusion.

You're a man of many questions this game. The amount itself feels towny in your case.

@Arakhor, can you add the playerlist to this thread sometime?

Zelda feels green.
Csargo feels good insofar as I like that he's voicing thoughts

@topsecret, idk what to think of Rask, maybe I'd put them a hair below null just for coming in as soon as they were voted, but they're in the same boat as a lot of other people.

Everything Samson's said has felt pure to me. This is hard to explain since his play has been switching from inactive to inactive for his vote, but it feels like a trope I follow for certain new town. I also think him looking into post number is slightly towny.

Towncore: Me, Samson, Csargo, TS, Zelda, Tak (for being illiterate)

Agree with Zelda's last post (108). In particular I don't like a few things about Tim's post. I have a "town vibe" but he's not opposed to lynching me. I'm going to ignore some of what he says which is pretty much a proxy for a policy lynch because on that regard I'm biased, but some other highlights I didn't like. I strongly disagree with his read on Csargo, and let me be clear, I'm not going to be betting money on Csargo being town, but my experience with Csargo with Csargo is solely that scum!Csargo is underwhelming and shows literally no read independence. He's somewhat underwhelming right now, but everyone has been, and he's actually put out reads, which makes him one of my biggest townreads (also, again, I'm not putting large stock in any of my reads at this point). The distinction between the new to him players is bad on multiple levels, and this should be obvious to everyone.

Yeah, neither of my reactions were serious

Can you clarify what you mean with your last line? I'm not sure who/what you're referring to.

Vote: topsecret

gonna drop my pzelda read, i gave it too early, need to see what he does

if takhisis dsoesnt post soon im gonna suggest we just lynch him

good chance he's a wolf deliberately not posting

good chance hes a villager being deliberately dumb

Tim, in post 100. I don't like how he wants to lynch GR for not being here yet when the games been only going for 24 hours. I also don't think that there's much of a functional difference between MJ and Rakkoon, the first of whom he's not opposed to lynching and the second of whom he wants to keep. I actually can see them as likelier teammates than any random pairing just based off of the two lines the two have said about each other

Visor just coming in and saying that three of my TLs aren't town is grrrrrr

Does Tak lurk as a wolf? That's not something I attribute to wolf Tak.

Tak's just meh atm, could be either I guess is what you were going for.

I gave the best available read I had on every player based on whatever was available...however little that might have been. In some cases that is more meta than anything else because that's all there is. If you wanna lynch me for trying that's your option. Later, when we get to the wagonomics stage, you are too valuable to lynch you now just for an OMGUS tunnelrat proof of my towniness.

Visor why did you switch votes? You pushed, I defended, and you didn't switch...now you have. Seems curious.

Take it as a compliment. I know that you can Wolf and townvibe with the best of them. I'm not trying to lynch you, but if someone tries I'm not gonna go down arguing that they have you all wrong either, because on any given day you might be a wolf. Clearer?
