In ancient Egypt cats were worshipped as gods. since then millennia have past and many religions came and went, but the cats have never forgotten. so there are no kitty deities, because cats are deities themselves.

Bunnies provide an important enough part of the ecosystem in many places around the world, while domesticated kittens just take up space.

Killing all bunnies could have unforeseen consequences to other species and could lead to extinctions, while cats are jerks. So, screw the cats, as cute as they might be.

Bunnies on the other hand are the most destructive pest here.

Would happily kill the rabbit pests even if it wasn't to save the kittens. Saving the kittens is just a bonus.
