Kitty Name Needed!

I've never watched the Simpsons, and I just don't care for the label "crazy cat lady", period. My cats are cherished and beloved members of my family. I celebrate their birthdays, observe quiet days of remembrance on the anniversaries of their deaths, and back when I used to celebrate Christmas, they got presents.
There's a thankless job for you.
Why do you say that? The way a cat says "thank you" is by purring or meowing in a particular way. And I don't do it for thanks, anyway. I do it because I love my cats and they deserve to be remembered.

I say it because your cats don't know it's Christmastime at all. By the way, you don't celebrate christmas anymore?

It's irrelevant whether or not they know it's Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, or someone's birthday. All they know is that they're getting treats they don't usually get.

And no, I don't do Christmas anymore. Well, except for watching the Charlie Brown special and indulging in a bit of (nonalcoholic) eggnog. As I said, Gussy tried to eat the ornaments (really!) so I concluded it's not safe to put decorations up. And I know my current cats well enough that my decision hasn't changed.

There's more to Christmas than just decorations! What about togetherness, and family, and the spirit of giving 'n stuff? :(

Most of my family is dead. The others are too far away. :(

So it's just my cats and me, now.
