Kraz01- The Totally Mad Scientists

I was going to play a bit more, but I am up in GR22. So I know you guys are busy, I could do 5 more turn in probably two days, if it would help.

1510AD (7):
16 towns grow.
Two 4/5 cavs kill red lined knights (2-0).
Two vets get cavs (4-0).
7th revenges Custer by killing 3 rifles and razing Ariquipa for 20+ gold and 5
slaves (7-0).
14th kills two rifle in Macchu and gets a promotion, but I decide not to go for a third (9-0).
18th get the last one and razed it for 25 gold and 5 slaves (10-0).
11th finds the capitol and grabs a worker to disband.
funny I have been able to get all workers back in with no issues as towns and
rails are ran to the front.
Found town on the rubber. decide to not let theplace grow, too lazy to track
another town at this point.
6th struggles with rifle at Cax (11-0).
9th kills lb and cav (13-0).

IBT:
I hate frigate as they bust up a couples of tiles. Only the dumb AI would have
wasted so many shields on all these ship to bust a few tiles.

1515AD (8):
17th kills a pike in Memphis and autorazed it and a pike outside (2-0).
Yanks snuck a settler in on me. Let then have some fun, I want the Inca removed.
elite and vet cavs kill cavs (4-0).
vet cavs kill lb and cav (6-0).
20th and 9th kill 3 rifles and a LB and raze a city. 26 gold, a cannon and 4
slaves (10-0).

Drop research to zero and still get MP next turn.
10th grabs woker and disbands.
Park transport in North Hills. It can be used in a pinch to run units to either
island.
8 armies damaged and 4 other tied up with covering or defending towns. I switch all cavs to inftantry as we have many cavs doing nothing. You could stack them and attack, but you would loss many for no good reason.

Why let them have any success. Armies can often barely beat a rifle in town any how.

I have lost the shuttle for now as the transports are not in position. It will
take a couple of turns to correct.

I am making all settlers on the new land from now on. No need to mess around with towns that are fully stocked, unless you just want to get domintation quickly.

I will rush some on the mainland to finish them off. We just cannot defend towns with out 2 infantry in each. It is inviting them to take it down.

OK, I rush 15 settlers on the mainland and left a couple of cav buillds. The rest are infantry.

Started a bunch of settlers on the new land. Rush 3 there, but we will have about 20 and I do not see a way to use them all right away. Need to clear out more towns.

The armies are all in the field, so not healing fast.

first letter. It makes using the tools to locate and sort a pain.19th and 15th

I just realized I forgot to read your log, hope nothing I should have know about. I planned on reading and when I got back, I forgot.

Anyway nothing much to pass on here either. I spread out some of the workers on the mainland to irrigate towns no longer building anything. I intended to add them back into what ever gang needs them for jungle work.

Got a ton of jungle cleared on the mainland. I have one crew that is just making a road on mountains. I have another that is able to move to a mountain with no road and rail it the next turn. Everyone else can clear jungles.

I have been careful with workers on the new land to not expose them. That is why I was able to do a few jungle tiles as there was no other safe place to work.

Lots of land is opening up now with the Inca losing cities. Not sure how many they have, but I have not seen a ship in some time. Once they are down, the yanks will be a snap.
 
I am going to play 5 more before I do GR22. I should have it up later in the afternoon.
 
I see I have not made the last move on the save either. I founded a town to cover the access to the worker stack in the final save.

Give lux slider 10%, we can spare it.
Oiliphaunt Inlet, sell court and lib. We were at 10 beakers. I sell and make
scientist and now we are at 11 beakers. Note I am not saying the lib should not have been built.

It is hard to know about that as it was a break even deal and you could not have specialist, until you had rails up.

5/5 kills spear and gets leader (1-0).

11th kills 2 rifles running around by their capitol (5-0).

Send 5 armies back to heal.
16th kills rifle and razed city for 36 gold (4-0).
Had Sistines, 2 cannons and 6 slaves.

3 armies kill rifles and raze Vilcabamba (10-0).

Switch some builds to tank. Stop some other infantry builds. Sell factory at
Tassleburg, no need for it. We also got pollution showing up.
Hard to believe, but I found 6 towns still making settlers on the mainland, so
stopped them. I know we could use them, but why bother. The game is in an iron grip.

Disband 2 more canons.
Pull two stack off jungles work to clear pollution and to irrigated a few more
cities that no longer need shields.

BTW Japan is OCC, it looks like on a 1 tile island.
10th kills 2 at Tiwanaku (15-0).

Put up 4 or 5 more towns all settlers used. We are at 63%.

15th I take a chance and kill three rifles at Nasca and get 34 gold (21-0).
It had Magellan's and 2 slaves.

Rush 10 or 11 settlers.

11th kills last one and razed Chuito for 67 gold (2-0).
13th and 6th kill rifles at Andahuaylas (4-0).

20th kills rifle (7-0).
9TH kills LB and razed Juli for 69 gold (9-0).
Nice of them to pay for the rushed settlers.
Gets 4 slaves.
Found town.
21st kills rifle at Andah for 73 gold (10-0).
Gets a cannon and 4 slaves.
Disband 4 cannons.
7th with 11HP to start kills 2 rifles at Sausa and razed it for 52 gold.
(12-0) 2 slaves.
10th kills 3 units and get a settler (15-0).
Found a few more towns.
I used several damaged armies to block the last two towns on the new land. I see borders at sea, so they have at least one island.
Found a few more towns and we have 66%.
Two 5/5 cavs kill Yank pikes (17-0).
Found another town.
4/5 kills knight (18-0).
First tank arrives on the new land.

Hit enter and the IBT will surely hit domination.

Boy, once you get to playing there is not an AI that is safe! :lol:
 
Not so sure about that, have you seen our attempts on GR series? 30 civs on 250x250 at AWDG can be a match. :D
 
I am following all the current SG's. That is the one with the Romans beating up on the French right? That one is heating up just a tad... fer shure.
 
Yeah, but I was thinking more of the two before it. Those games are always very intense and can end in a flash. Turns where you have more units incoming than you have units to fight with by factors of 2, 3 or more.
 
yes, I have been amazed at games that were moving but the tide just turned and the game was lost. It is one of the things I like about this place - the gamers are honest. when a game is lost it is lost... just move on to the next one.
 
Just an FYI to Oversee714. After I finished my set on FR23 and the Meklar challenge, I decided to see what the map looked like in this game.

I have played on a pretty far piece and still have not found the last of the Inca. Soon after the turn I loaded here, I ran into a Persian settler combo and found we were not at war with them. I presume we had lost contact, not sure.

Turns out they had several town on the land and some islands, yet to be found. I did find the last Yank town. I also found the last Nip town, not the one shown.

Now here is the shock, I just ran into Smoke, I did not even realize he was in the game. If I get to the end of the map, I will post a pix.
 
I knew about Persia, I captured a worker of theirs that America had, but never saw another unit of theirs. Now the Maya are a surprise, they must be on an island or be very small. I guess we did pretty well at avoiding contacts.
