[NFP] Kublai Khan Discussion Thread

In the city banner original city names have lower case caps, while in all other circumstances (tooltips, timeline, etc.) they have initial capitals only. Renamed cities, however, have all capitals (not lower case capitals) in tooltips, timeline, etc. At least that's how it works in my game.

The trick is there are 3 kinds of case:
  • Lowercase, like London
  • Small uppercase, like LONDON
  • Big uppercase, like LONDON.
For example, "London" is written "LONDON" on the city banner. If you edit the city name by writing it in uppercase, then city will stay as "LONDON" on the city banner (and not "LONDON"), but everywhere else, it will be written "LONDON" instead of "London". Even if you missclik into edit and leave right away without touching anything, all your "London" in tooltips, timeline... will transform into "LONDON". I guess the game think

To correct this, go to your city banner, and write "London" in lowercase. The game will transform automatically all your lowercase into small uppercase (→ it will display "LONDON" and not "London"), but the city's name in the tooltips, timeline... will be revert back to "London" instead of "LONDON".

This is how it works in my game. I hope it will work the same for you.

Yeah, that's what I meant by lower case caps. Unfortunately, in my experience, changing the city name to "London" results in "LONDON" everywhere except the city banner. :(

Well the only remaining option is that you are one of those people who yell when they speak but don't realise it and the game is smart enough to adapt :dunno: I dunno I ran out of options

I'm pretty quiet so that's definitely not it. :lol: It may well have been patched since the last time I played. :dunno:

I wonder if they got the Leader Screens right, though... White-clothed Kublai looks like he's in China, and Yellow-clothed Kublai looks like he's in Mongolia...

@Boris Gudenuf, any words?

that's a pretty nice LUA

Awesome. Love how different he’ll play with China versus Mongolia.

Honestly. I thought KK was going to bit phoned in by FXS. Instead, he looks absolutely awesome.

He's LA is sooo powerful with Mongolia.
Many consider Big Ben the second-best Policy Card Wonder in Civ 6, and Kublai basically gets Big Ben since the start of the game.
