The last turn Askia of Songhai got 2 trade proposals at once from Aztecs and Roman Empire.
We decided to trade our silk for roman incense meanwhile, but we will have another silk resource available for trade in few turns, so we can export it to aztec lands in exchange for some dye.

One of Songhai scouting units have discovered lands of unknown civilization depicted in red colour. But I didn't get any notification that my civ encountered another civ. However, I am sure that those lands should belong to Persia.
Askia is glad to know that persian borders are far away from Songhai so we can be relieved from persian aggression for a while.

@Onan:
The next turn Songhai will get access to 6 piles of iron. As previously agreed upon, Askia can trade half of these piles to Egypt. If Pharaoh is not interested in iron from Songhai, we can trade it elsewhere.

Are these free iron? I can't remember if this was part of our border negotiations, and I'm too lazy to check right now.

The great Montezuma of the Aztec people have atleast 15 unused iron within his borders right now and no one to use it on. It is a peaceful era for the Aztecs and Montezuma the great is willing to trade some with his neighbours.

(I'm so not getting any coal/oil/alu/uranium.) :(

Is 1 gpt per iron reasonable? Discounts with large orders ofc.

The great Montezuma is sad to see Askia of the Songhai chose to reject our dyes. It does anger him slightly but his advisors have cautioned him against agressive behaviour at this point. A promise of trade once a future source of luxuries have been established will surely calm his nerves.

@Onan:
no, it is not free iron. I agreed to trade you 1 iron resource for 2 gpt.
But then I think you can buy cheaper iron from aztecs.

iron in this game has no market. There are abundant supplies.

you russians always are drowned in strategic resources. ;)

Songhai lands possess only one deposit of iron :sad:

I can only see one benefit out of trading, not sure if it will work. Trade in a loop, for example, A-->B B-->C C-->A. So that iron supply will be almost immune to pillage.

Egypt has no iron, but who cares? We have pikes.

Why my scouting spearman is followed by persian swordsman?
Do you think, King of Persia, in that way to reveal whereabouts of Songhai cities? :)

First time i get there. I have 12 scouts right now ;)

I would expect at least some of these 'scouts' are not swords. If I'm wrong, then it will be a Persian world!

Haha no it's a mix bag of archers, UUs, scouts and swordmen.

Oracle done :goodjob:

Happpiness is flourishing again :D

Chichen here i come :king:

Dog pile on Persia! :D

It would take my capital about 7 turns (with forest chopping) to finish Chichen Itza, but I ceased construction of this wonder as soon as I got to know that Persia finished Oracle and Liberty tree. It seems Songhai capital does not have a chance to build Chicken before persian GE.

Has someone already been building Great Wall? If we let Persia build both GW and CI, then Darius will became an unstoppable warmonger...

How come Persia has finished liberty? If he has two non-puppet cities, it will take several turns before he can pop up the GE. Either CI or GW will be deadly. but I think you should not stop producing CI if you are halfway into this wonder. It may just be bluffing.

:agree:

Even if you miss it, you still get some cash instead of nothing!

I noticed from "Geopolitics" window that Persia already does have 5 social policies from Liberty, so I know that Persia finished Liberty tree for certain.
Darius only needs to research the necessary medieval tech (which should take him less than 5 turns from my assessment) and 1 turn to build CI using GE...

At this stage of the game Songhai doesn't want to exchange hammers for gold, but maybe Askia will reconsider his decision.

Friendly remind to Ceasar that your scout can now freely move around, don't forget him next turn:)
