My friend and I were trying to play a LAN game but it would get stuck when we hit next turn. Waiting for players.... We restarted game, computers, and made sure civ was an exception in windows firewall. What ended up fixing it was disabling windows firewall on both machines. Seriously? I have to disable my firewalls in order to play a LAN game..
