Land of the free? HoI Doomsday AAR

January 1, 1936

Today in the United States, a new party has taken the government from FDR and the Democrats, not the republicans, but the Fascist Party, lead by Captain.

After the Great War a small organization had begun operating trying to get some kind of support for the returning soldiers who came home to no jobs, slowly things grew into a Political party.

The ex-Millitary men were the biggest supporters of the cause, however when the Great Depression hit things began to pick up, Captain constantly saying the government was the cause for their pains, claiming that this could have been avoided had USA saved the money they had wasted paying off German war debts...

Finally things hit home when Captain, supported by Charles Lindburg and Henry Ford, took his support base and Marched upon Washington DC, forcing Roosevelt to either hand over the power or cause a Civil war, luckily for Captain, FDR made the right choice.

Weither or not things will improve for the American people is yet to be seen...

Assuming the President gives me the necessary resources, we should need to see any action to achieve our goals. For, as I mentioned in my latest book on strategic warfare:

"Power leads to fear, fear leads to conquest, conquest leads to Kan being a very happy general"

Regardless, I consider myself our foremost expert in European affairs, and will begin wargames at once!

A war agianst canada would result in us fighting most of the worlds powers, France, Britian and Australia with little time to prepare, we may engage them later

however, the carribean will be acceptable, any plans?

Invade Cuba, Haiti, Dominican Republic, and anything else not allied with the major powers.

When we do invade Canada would it be possible to grant Alberta independence? The North American Bitumen Emirate must live! (Preferably with me as leader )

Gentlemen! The people wanted a fascist, nationalist America, which means one of our most important goals is isolationism. Look at other fascist countries - Mussolini of Italy is launching a minor colonial war, and do you really expect Hitler of Germany to launch a war anytime soon?

No! We must pride ourselves in our national interests, which are purely internal. Look at the last time we got involved in foreign affairs - we fought in the Great War and everything began falling apart afterwards. Sure, the previous government (which we legally replaced) got us back on track, but Roosevelt was a dangerous maverick, and I have no doubts he intended to get involved in the business of other nations affairs. Do you want another Depression, people - DO YOU?

And what better way to isolate ourselves then complete conquest of the Americas?

We already protect the region through the Monroe Doctrine. I will be the first to demand intervention should another power threaten them.

I believe our main worries should be Japan, the British Empire and the Soviet Union. I believe the first two are looking to establish (or re-establish) control of the seas through colonial conquest. And the Soviet Union? Well they're just a bunch of damned commies!

well i must agree, however America does gain a fair amount of goods from Cuba, it would only make sense to stabilize the government in exchange for any excess resources they gain....

However the British Empire is our biggest threat, they have colonies in south america, and they have strong ties with our northern neighbour

For the time being though, I reccomend sitting around, spinning on chairs and building crap.

might I add, Cuba is American property, another foolish leader of this nation saw it fit to give it away in 1902

If it was american property, than it's only right we reclaim it.
Besides, war is good for business so long as it's being fought somewhere else.
