Which landmass do you like to play? I like the continents because ot seems more realistic.

Continents, because I don't have to fight all the AIs at once, and I have enough AIs to trade with.

I get a special rate on continents from Continents R Us, so I always go with continents.

Depends on my mood.

If I'm happy, any of them. If I'm not, any of them.

I prefer continents, though I'm not averse to the others. But my dad swears by 80% water Archipelago maps.

I voted Pangea because I like to build wonders and there are many wonders that only have a continental effect ... if I go through the risk, of constructing a wonder I want to get my blood, sweat and tears worth ...

Saying that I don't mind Archipealego either ... of course it's a different game

Regards :goodjob:

I always play on random, but I have to confess my naval game isn't what it should be, so I do better on pangea.

Pangea since transportation and movement is so much easier, and wonders affect all our cities. But then I like continents too for the naval battles. I guess pangea wins by a margin.

My naval skills suck and I don't like dealing with transports... Pangaea all the way!

Though I want to try a crazy archipelago game sometime.

I like archipelago. It's easier to defend my cities on this kind of map, as the enemy AI will often land a single Warrior or Archer trying to capture them. It's also easier to take the AI's cities because some of them aren't well defended. There are many trading opportunities when you meet several civs that don't know one another, too.

I find this, too - Babylonian ships were approaching, and I got all nervous... then they landed two bowman to take on my Pikemen. The Chinese were even worse, sending a veteran Warrior.

I voted Random. I love not knowing what's going on.

Archipelago, as it allows for almost any kind of game.
You find chokepoints, you find large almost circular areas, you find small and bigger islands...
You can do exploration by land and sea, you find the military challenge of both holding and getting chokepoints as well as holding and getting large open areas....

Large archipelago (60% water) maps.
No need for suicide galleys, none of the civs
gets isolated until Astronomy or Navigation.

Other arguments are well said by Commander Bello.

I like panagea or continents, as moving troops around using ships is a bit of an irritant. Also, the AI can't seem to play archipelago that well.
