Latest Patch & Mod Browser

Hey all,

After having steam update the game I have had the strangest problem. The built in mod browser no longer updates. The little colour wheel spins and then disappears, probably having timed out and leaving the screen blank.

Now it worked perfectly fine before the update. I have tried deleting all downloaded and installed mods and cleared Civ's cache folder. I'm running this on Windows XP via bootcamp on a macbook and Civ is the only thing I use windows for. So, I rather doubt it could be anything else since this and Steam are the only things running. Oh, and Windows Firewall reports exceptions for Civ and Steam and my router has my ip wide open.

Any ideas as to what happened or what I might try to fix things?

This was happening before the patch. They said they were updating it, but it appears they only made the problem expand. Mine didn't work before and it doesn't work now. Everything is in its proper place; it just doesn't work. It would indeed be nice if they actually had a mod hub that worked for everyone.

Last night I tried it again and it miraculously worked and now tonight it isn't updating again. I am wondering if the problem is on their end. Perhaps the mod server is just overwhelmed causing our requests to time out? Odd.
