Laura or Hillary?

Here's my contribution to the useless polls: Who do you think makes/made a better a First Lady? I understand that Laura Bush has only been First Lady for about 3 years, but even when Hillary first started out as First Lady she had the press all over her. Now First Ladies have a somewhat important role to play - not as important as the President, but they do their own part.

Who do you think did/ is doing a better job? (Please try not to hold any bias against Hillary for being married to Clinton, and please try not to hold any bias against Laura for being married to Bush. )

Hillary Clinton did a lot more, or at least the press liked her a lot more .

I can't really say anything about Laura, but at the very least I find Hillary interesting to read about, so I'll vote for her.

I vote for Hilary. She actually does things and defines herself in ways other than association with her husband. This is why she enrages Republicans, who deep down all think that women are for cookin' pies and birthin' babies.

Laura is more my type of 1st Lady. I'm surprised people think she is creepy. IMO, she is by far the best looking 1st Lady ever.

I like her agenda, she does a better job of decorating the White House for Christmas, and I think she is less of a distraction.

Good point. A little over sight on my part with respect to Jackie. But after breezing through some past pictures, I don't see any others very close (again, in my opinion).

On the reading, I know they are obliged to speak out for it, but since she was a teacher and librarian before she met George, I think it is something that is close to her heart.

As much as I like Mao..er, Hillary's methods of trying to make everyone feel stupid, I much more admire Laura. She doesn't interfere in her husband's job, unlike Hillary's constant cheerleading for Willie.

Between 1992 and 2000, Hillary Clinton wasn't elected to anything. She was just sleeping with the boss.
