I think Dr Doom from this thread looks like some kind of a robot, especially if you recolor the cloak and change the chain to circuits and remove the "skin" color around the eyes.

There is a Hugo Chavez LH out there (but why make him the leader of the Maya?), there is a Kim LH too. One day there might be a Trotskiy too.

1.Why not? Angela Davis made a significant contribution to American leftist movement, and she's far more famous outside of US than James Cannon for instance.

2.Really? Need to find it then... Because there's no Venezuela in vanilla CIV

3. AFAIK, there's only Kim Jong Il. Kim Il Sung is a more significant person.

I think Honecker would be a better choice for East Germany.

Honecker, regardless of his good and bad deeds, will stay in history as a representation of the death of German hopes for socialism, while Thalmann represented the life of it.

I think this is the reason Firaxis chose Stalin over Lenin. Lenin may have embodied the idea of Russian Socialism, but in reality, the Soviet Bloc was Stalin's.

I doubt you'll get a lot of people to make these LHs. I probably wouldn't. You'd have to come up with a good mod first to get anybody to do this. If it is any condolence to you though, told Tony Kiehl on ModCast that I'd make a Subcomandante Marcos LH. So that should at least be beneficial to this for you.

Sure they did. Just like ex-USSR bookstores dont want to sell theoretical work of "good" leftists, American game industry wants to include "bad" ones in their stuff. As for Cold War mod, if its going to be purely pro-capitalist, then i'd rather skip it.

The nostalgia is not for communism, but for the union where all nations lived together and for all the other things during these times like songs, TV shows, movies. This is not different from nostalgia in any other country. Same thing can be said about the "Ostalgia" in Germany.
