I belive in the photo his collar is up it isnt like a normal dress shirt, I could be wrong..
Shotoku (573 - 621) was from the The Asuka period 573 - 621more like medevil. And he was seen wearing more court like clothing

I agree with Shiro - that photo depicts Hirohito in a wing collar, that is, a collar that sticks straight up without being folded down again over the tie as a modern collar is. But your graphic has him wearing a normal modern folded-down collar with the tie going over the top, which as far as I know is an unheard-of sartorial innovation! Better to give him either a normal collar and tie or a proper old-fashioned collar if you can find one.

Other than that, I think this is a really excellent LH. This whole WW2 series is great.

I like them all alot, I especially like that necktie how it doesn't go through the shirt. I think it looks pretty good, just a bit more touching up and like you said, a bit more work on the industrial suit and it should look pretty good. ShiroKobbure suggested that white kimono and the necklace with the teeth on it, that might look pretty cool but I'll take whatever. Great work so far! I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product!

Background Suggestion-

Ancient- Trees. There were trees in Ancient Japan.
Middle ages- An Imperial Palace or Shogun's Castle. Or.. It could be a throne room. Here is a link to the Current Emperor standing infront of the Throne.
Industrial- 1900s some Tokyo or the Kokyo palce. Pictures here. Kokyo could work for modern as well. Maybe even Middle ages.. but it wasn't built untill the 20th century.
Modern- Modern Day Tokyo or maybe Kokyo, as noted above

Now Shiro, do you have an old-fashioned collar shirt model for Poser you can send me? Otherwise, I'll just place the tie under his current collar.
And can you please send me the "kimono" and necklace for the ancient era? That way I'll be able to try both looks and see which one I like the best.
I'll also try making him "a bit" skinnier, but I don't think I need to make him a lot more than he already is

Here is my shot at his ancient hair style, as well as new clothes and background pic for that era, and a little extra work on his industrial suit, and new position for his modern era tie (as well as backgrounds for those two eras as well)

Now, I might leave this look with the tie for the extra modern era look, while giving him a simple bowtie for this WWII look (unless I get a shirt like the one he uses on the pic with MacArthur)

well in ancient you still having him wear odd clothing... Look at the pic of shotoku your basing him off he is wearing a light red suit like the Korean kings, and Shoguns wore. Or just have him in a white Kimono. In the background I would put a Jomon or Yayoi settlement, it should be easy to find them on google image search. As for the hair in ancient era, good, now get rid of the bangs and the hair coming out from the back

This question is directed mainly to Shiro: is his suit colour in the first era right? And should I keep that orangish robe on his right side?

Japanese never wore a robe like that take it off. I think if you have a T-shirt it would be better for Ancient, just color it thar same. If you see the link on post 21. The dress he wears has a collar. only if you could get a fold going down the center that would be great if not dont worry. I would darken the hair on the beard, make it much thinner.

Well, the image I posted would be his WWII era look, similar to that of the pic with MacArthur. He will have an extra era (like my other WWII leaderheads. Previews are on my other thread) where he'll be wearing a normal suit
