Legendary Earth Mod (LEM)

Started a new game as Ethiopia (LEM I). When I try to scout Zanzibar, I get a pop-up saying "Entering Ramesses II/Zanzibar will trigger WAR! Are you sure?". In the scoreboard, with the same points as Egypt, is "Team 35". What the heck?

Thank goodness a decent Earth Map has been brought to Gods and Kings! I can never understand why there isn't a true starting locations map included with the game. I really appreciate the work you put into making this!!

Is there any plan to make a version of the map where any of the civs are capable of appearing on the map? I know it's impossible to have all of them on there at once due to size, but it would be great if, instead of choosing between Earth 1 and Earth 2, we could just choose the earth map and have it populate the map with random civs in their true starting locations.

Also, I will reset all of the AI back down to Chieftain. I wasn't aware that had any effect on how they actually played and I really have no idea why I developed the habit of switching them all to Prince.

I checked it using the FireTuner, and this setting doesn't seem to affect the AI level, I thought I've seen before that it does, sorry for giving you a false alarm.


About changing the game speed, and selecting which civs to include: Perhaps you can use a similar setup screen as YnAEMP, the main difference is that on your map the resources are pre-defined, but the other features, like being able to customize the victory conditions and game options, would be useful for this mod.

I like how theirs actually ocean north of russia now. Before it was just useless snow and ice, now Russia can have a navy.

More issues to fix tonight.

The lack of the Aztecs is an oversight on my part, they're supposed to be switched out with the Maya in LEM II.

I will look into the Egypt/Zanzibar thing...they may have accidentally ended up on the same team somehow.

I've downloaded LEM v11 but I do not have available new 9 civs from G&K in this version and I couldn't find other. Where can I find? Or can anyone of you send me that map on email?

The vanilla version is still available on the CFC database here.

EDIT: I have now included it in the Steam Workshop download as the "Legacy Version".

Well, I think you can just use Gedemon's code, and remove the part that generates resources.

Yeah thats one of the problems I have with his mod. The generation never is good, its either too much or too little. That and the constant lag.

I have that versions which you mentioned, that vanilla version.

But I have Gods and Kings expansion and all of that new Civs (Sweden, Byzantium, Maya, etc.) available to play with them in a regular game without true start locations. Ok?

But I would like LEM map which includes them also, new 9 civilizations to play with them with TSL. Do you understnd me? I'd like to have LEM I or LEM II or both of them, but I can't find them. I do not have those two maps and I do not know where to download them.

I've downloaded LEM mod in which I have LEM and LEM (DLC) maps, version 11.

Can you tell me where can I find LEM I and LEM II?

You appear to have downloaded the old version of the LEM mod, available here on the CFC database. To download the new G&K LEM, go to Steam Workshop, search for Legendary Earth Map and subscribe to it. The mod will then install itself when you start Civ5 and go to Mods. Be sure to uninstall the old LEM first though, to avoid any potential issues.

Yep, same thing happened in my game. It made it easy to control Egypt too -- if you buy Zanzibar's friendship, and declare war on someone, Egypt declares war too. Very easy manipulation!

Haha yeah, they accidentally ended up on the same team. This issue has been fixed and the Steam Workshop file updated. So long as your game automatically updates the mod, the next map you start will not have this issue.

You'll get an "update" button on the mod selection screen when an update is available, so you can decide when to install it. It's like this because some mod updates can be incompatible with saved games from earlier versions, so you shouldn't update them until you finish your current game.
