they didn't, instead lost Sweden and inherited Norway, so they have cores in it, they were beaten by HRE Austria, but are good enough to reclaim Norway and go force the PU back in Sweden when it's possible.

Not if Morocco and Spain are friendly to him, Spain will get no cores in Sardinia upon inheritance, so maybe they will sell it to Milan, about Morocco i don't know, they done the same in Greece to Bulgaria and sicily would possibly not be worth it, considering the crusades and badboy wars against their sultan.
Now comes France, enemy of all, i could only guess France will either ally Milan and sell the provinces, or get one more enemy. The hardest possibility i think it's France giving up the provinces and leaving Milan alone.

I already have half of Europe as enemy, so one more won't be a problem XD
