Alexios I Komnenos (Byzantium) (27-3)=24 Byzantium has less priority than the first North Amerindian Civ.
Powhatan (Powhatan Confederacy) (21+1)=22 A decent alternative to the Iroquois.

Alexios I Komnenos (Byzantium) 21 (24 - 3) -- Do you know how many Native American civilizations are currently in the game? Zero. Do you know how many Graeco-Roman civilizations are currently in the game? Three and a half (considering two Greek leaders) plus another Hellenistic leader (Cleopatra). Tell me Byzantium is a higher priority than a Native American civ. :p
Powhatan (Powhatan Confederacy) 23 (22 + 1) -- A big personality, and an unrepresented culture group that played an important role as both allies and enemies of the early American settlers.

Alexios I Komnenos (Byzantium) 22 (21+1) keeping it interesting
Powhatan (Powhatan Confederacy) 20 (23-3) dito

Alexios I Komnenos (Byzantium) 22+1=23 - I'll be as annoying as possible :p
Powhatan (Powhatan Confederacy) 20-3=17 - We may have zero Native American Civ, but Byzantium is more interesting Civ to me :p

Alexios I Komnenos (Byzantium) (23-3)=20 Not so interested in the Byzantines
Powhatan (Powhatan Confederacy) (17+1)=18 North Amerindians have more priority than Roman Greece!

Alexios I Komnenos (Byzantium) 17 (20 - 3) -- I do want Byzantium back and Alexios would be my top choice to lead it (please no more Justinian and Theodora), but yet another Graeco-Roman civ can wait until we have at least one Native American civ.
Powhatan (Powhatan Confederacy) 19 (18 + 1) -- Like the Powhatan for example.

Alexios I Komnenos (Byzantium) 17+1=18 - I'll be as annoying as possible. I want Alexios to win more :p
Powhatan (Powhatan Confederacy) 19-3=16 - I find great empires like Byzantium more interesting than Native Americans.

Alexios I Komnenos (Byzantium) (18-3)=15 I want Alexios to lose :p
Powhatan (Powhatan Confederacy) (16+1)=17 I'm interested in Amerindians more than Eastern Rome.

Alexios I Komnenos (Byzantium) 15 + 1 = 16 (One of the best Byzantine emperors)
Powhatan (Powhatan Confederacy) 17 - 3 = 14 (Not as accomplished as Alexios)

Alexios I Komnenos (Byzantium) 13 (16 - 3) -- I don't disagree with Morningcalm's assessment, but in Powhatan's defense, Alexios inherited his empire (granted an empire in shambles, but still an empire whose framework already existed) while Powhatan forged his from scratch. ;)
Powhatan (Powhatan Confederacy) 15 (14 + 1) -- A great leader from an unrepresented corner of the world.

Alexios I Komnenos (Byzantium) 13+1=14 - Powhatan is surely interesting, and he deserves to be in top 2... But I want Alexios to be the winner :p
Powhatan (Powhatan Confederacy) 15-3=12 - I'd just like to see Alexios and Byzantium more.

Alexios I Komnenos (Byzantium) (14-3)=11 Great choice for Byzantine leader, but I'm less excited by their reappearance than for the first North Amerindian Civ.
Powhatan (Powhatan Confederacy) (12+1)=13 Great Amerindian leader

Alexios I Komnenos (Byzantium) 8 (11 - 3) -- Highly deserving but less a priority.
Powhatan (Powhatan Confederacy) 14 (13 + 1) -- New to the franchise, lead a powerful confederacy, and we currently have exactly 0 Native American civilizations in the game.

Alexios I Komnenos (Byzantium) 8+1=9 - I just like Alexios more.
Powhatan (Powhatan Confederacy) 14-3=11 - Sorry, but my interest in Native Americans is lower than my interest in Byzantium.

We should come up with some "less popular" leaders as well.

Here's some for Canada:

•Louis Riel (if Gandhi and CdM are in Civ VI, then why not Riel?)
•Wilfred Laurier
•William Lyon Mackenzie King
•John Diefenbaker
•Lester B. Pearson
•Pierre Trudeau

Alexios I Komnenos (Byzantium) (9-3)=6 Sorry, but my interest in Byzantines returning is less than that of North Amerindians. :p
Powhatan (Powhatan Confederacy) (11+1)=12 I would welcome them as the first North Amerindian Civ in the game.

Alexios I Komnenos (Byzantium) 3 (6-3) Let's finish it
Powhatan (Powhatan Confederacy) 13 (12+1) dito

suggestions for the next round, some revolutionary leaders: Lenin, Robespierre, Robert Blum, Martin Luther, Mao, Nasser, Sulla
and Erik the Red.

Didn't think Powhatan would actually win, but I'm enormously pleased. :D
