Thanks Steiner-Davion to do this, thanks :).
By the way: Could i maybe give you some questions by german users? Most from our forum don't have an account here, but could also come up with some interesting questions.

Absolutely, that would be great, as long as you can get me a translated version.

What effects will have the Great General promotions - especially those applying to the surrounding tiles - ?

Non-resource units, Can I build them to infinitey ?

Multiple unique units, buildings and techs, Are we going to have several in each category ?

I've cloned the thread (here). The first thoughts are, that you'll maybe not even be able to ask something, because you'll just get a sit there and a guy will stand by your site, who doesn't really now about Civ5 and just tells you how to handle it.
Also that these are already to many questions, they should be sorted a bit.

And that you maybe just should sit there and play, and describe, if it's in the same way addictive like the previous civs. That's probably just the best :D. Who cares about the details when it's just a great game?

Hello everybody

My questions concern the air transport how will work them?
Air units can settle on any ground compartment or they can only be in a city or in a airborne ?
Will we have airbornes ?
Will this be like for shipping; any air unit can carry a ground unit ?
Is that airports are always present whether this is that we can send a unit to any of our cities and allied cities ?
How will the work carriers? Will we have transport helicopters and how they work?
Will we have paratroopers and how they work?

And finally the proposition 19

19 And how does it work when you have friendly units (but not your own, like an allied unit) that want to stand on a hex that you already ocupy? If you both can stand on it, will it then be possible to stack units in war if you are playing in team? (one unit from each team) If you cant stan on the same hex, how will they solve the issue with "friendly" barriers?

Government. Is it going to be a bunch of Civics like 4, or is it going to be like the past three games where there is just some direct governments to pick.

With the removal of religion on how it was in 4, what role, if any, does religion have now?

Can you name me a few more City-States?

Will there be anyway to play as a city state? If so, is Venice one of the playable ones?

WHAT IS THE 18TH CIV!?!?

^^^Pax East is over, man. The window for asking questions has closed.

Now we're waiting to hear back from the OP, who went to the conference with a long list of hundreds of real specific questions, but then presumably witnessed a really short demo about the game that covered everything we already knew, but nothing more, followed by only a couple of real vague questions that they took. Soon he'll be posting a follow-up apologizing for not being able to ask any of the questions the people on here asked.

Yeah, desperately waiting for the info-like an addict waiting for his next hit ;)!

Aussie.

Don't worry guys I have not forgotten about you and these SUPER IMPORTANT QUESTIONS.

Even more importantly, is that I got most of them answered.

Good News, is that in addition to watching the DEMO for Civ5 (no we did not get to play), I was able to score a huge interview, so stay tuned for that.

Bad news is that as soon as I got back from PAX East, I was called away for work for one thing (only supposed to be a couple of low stress days) and it has now turned into a 12+ hour night shift for the week, responding to the Rediculously Heavy Rains in Connecticut.

So please be patient. I will get the write done sooner rather than later, but when I get out of work sleep comes first, because I need to be thinking striaght when I give you all the great information I have, otherwise we will all be super confused.

You da MAN Steiner Davion-I will never attack you in Battle-mech ever again ;)!
Cannot wait to see the info :)!

Aussie.

Take care first, Steiner-Davion, take a rest, but then...
...this is my birthday today, so...
may I still ask for some info this very day? :)

Huge interview - nice work! Can't wait to see what you have to say. But all in good time - I know what it's like to be very busy, so go ahead and finish your work, have a nice sleep, and then go for a typing marathon! :goodjob:

Alternatively, you could release tidbits of info to answer a question at a time whenever you take a break from working.

Happy Birthday V. Soma! [party]

Dear S-D,

I hope you're doing well - but how come you've disappeared this long?

Sure there are reasons behind this...
...I am writing now just so you know I (and others, I am sure) are waiting for you
and for what you can bring us from you're experience at Pax East.

Regards,
Soma
