being a peculiar person in both real life and on the web ı had attempted to concentrate my posts in a few threads not to give the impresion of trying to take over the place and when people would be familiar with me ı would be given a reprieve to be around , no one would be angry with me with my sometimes really empty talk , they would simply ignore . ı have succeeded above my expectations . So instead giving of appearence trying to bump my own threads , of which , ı think , ı had only two before , ı will try one question one topic method .

pillaging is a combat action that consumes one movement . So why can Ninja and Yamabuchi armies do it 6 and 9 times respectively ( according to some confused personal counting ) in the Sengoku scenario of standart Conquests ?

Pillaging is free for ARMIES in "Conquest", it is not free in "Play The World" or Standard(vanilla) Civ3.
If you got army, it can pillage tile for free, it still has to pay movement points to move away from that "pillaged" tile.

You could also post these simple questions into Quick Answers / 'Newbie' Questions thread.

One question per thread is the general rule here. Yes, threads can evolve, and the topic may shift from the original intent, but it is far better to stick to "one question per thread".

One exception is the Quick Answers / 'Newbie' Questions thread linked by Northern Wolf, above. It is *the* place for simple questions with quick answers. (And it's stuck at the top of the forum, too! :D)

ı got it now and thanks for the attention . But the newbie thread somewhat scares me . ı know ı would attempt to read it through .

You do not have to read Quick Answers / 'Newbie' Questions thread, You can ask questions there and get answers for question(s) you asked.

An example:
Q: "What does "fortify" command do?" - simple question.
A: "After turn passes it gives 50% extra defense to fortified unit." - Simple answer.

Feel free to Ask any question you while playing Civ III :) (there are no stupid questions)

Don't bother reading the whole thread. At some 9000 posts, it would take you a while. That's also about the only place where you can have asked the same question five other people have and won't get a 'Read the thread!' response.

I can vouch for that. I've posted questions months ago that I've seen repeated in various forms on the thread time and again, and I'm sure my Newbie Questions have appeared many times before. I actually check it from time to time both to find out new things I've missed as well as to occasionally show off what minimal knowledge and experienced I've gleaned from playing and reading here.

ı have limited time on the web , certain areas of interest that take quite a high percentage of that time and ı should say unfortunately can't have much effort here ,which explains my previous intention to have a concentration of posts and the always useful answers they produced . Answers that ı am not definitely shy to ask for and with some extra time ( ie more than 5 minutes !) ı just noticed there is a FAQ as a sticky . Just a glimpse says it takes about 16 victories by elite units to produce a leader . It always pays off to take advantage of people who have been already there and maybe from now on maybe ı won't be so quick to fill my armies with any elite unit nearby . ı like the game and beating the AI is getting a more regular occurrance ; as people here know what to do and their experiences help a lot .

Don't be afraid to ask questions in the Quick Answers / 'Newbie' Questions thread, however "simple" or "stupid" your question might sound, noone will get mad at you, or will laugh at you for asking questions and your question might interest someone else too, who is too afraid to ask. We all learn new things by asking :)

There is also a Strategy Articles subforum, that contains many tricks and tactics people have used with (or without) success.
