I'm neither a competive player nor a warmonger but it's for me a lot of more fun in multiplayer.
I have a lot of time to kill and look for like 3 or 4, maybe more people who not only like to bash each others heads in but settle a bit.

I go to war for some ressources or against an AI who takes over the word though.

PS: I am just sick of random people who just rush me with bowmen at beginning, happened in CIV 3 a lot :/

I'm afraid when you are playing humans, they tend to want some fun in the game, and for most that means warfare at some point in the game. You might find people that will play on a larger water based map so that warfare happens later in the game after a build up, but in the end few people enjoy build fests to the end of the game.
