Light In The East: Civs Of The Orient(And Beyond)

Is the leader a she?

I think I just realised who it is and that I should have known the entire time. Durp.

I didn't/couldn't watch the stream since I've been on holiday the last 8 or so days. Are you overstating the European-ness of this civilisation?

Thats what I thought, alright I know what it is in that case. Not that it is in any way obvious, or even sensible, just by looking at that icon. Good luck people.

To be honest, if I didn't know about the existence of this country, I would be VERY confused by these hints right now. Thankfully that's not the case. :)

Ehhh screw it I'm gonna lay down the royal flush- it is Illryia if its not that then the Galatia and if not then this has to be extremely far out of common knowledge for a eurocentric.

Thats what I initially thought, Illyria, which is why I asked if the leader was female. Unfortunately that would be too easy.

"I, as a civfanatics user still do not have a clue because I was not one of the 30 people that watched jan's stream"
You're not the only one; I too am one of the 30*. I always miss the stream for the simple reason of math: Jan streams at 6-8pm in the GMT+2 timezone, according to his signature. (Which doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me since IINM the entirety of Poland is within GMT+1) But I live in GMT-6 - it's eight hours earlier in my part of the world, i.e. 10am - noon, meaning that I'm in school when Jan streams.

Stupid RL, always ruining my art education. :p

And since I haven't seen the stream I'll have to piece together my guess using just the conversation provided. I'll guess Dacia, because... I'm just throwing random things out there.

(*One of the 30... that sounds nice. I think I'll make it my user title.)

Okay, I have... basically no idea. But between the torc and the patterning and blonde spikiness (and the West German porn star moustache), I'm drawn to one of the Germanic nations. Now, I know what it almost certainly ISNT: the largely-hypothetical "Nordwestblock" of pre-Roman Germanic tribes. This is because I think maybe four people have heard of it ever. =]

What I was immediately drawn to was the Suebi, but they have a Civ. Therefore, it might actually be the slightly later Swabia, or possibly Alemannia. It's difficult to tell. That's my guess, anyway. I look forward immensely to being so far wide of the mark I've opened fire on the next mod-polity over and accidentally shot Natan. =]
