Light In The East: Civs Of The Orient(And Beyond)

Wow. Your info graphics are the most beautiful. Really. (Sorry your modjesty, I'll pray to Aten for forgiveness)
Also, the map looks a bit outdated. Or the battle of the Nile is not yet over?

So what do you guys think of this Great general replacement design:

(Great General) Fights as strong as the strongest unit you can make. Has the “Battlefield Bravery” promotion, enabling it to convert a random enemy unit adjacent to it when it defeats an enemy unit. Increases great person generation by 25% of whomever civ’s territory it is in, if the civilization is at peace with you.

That's is fictional... Though nice.
(Its Legui's style)

The issue with that design is the final power. That's not useful to the player at all, and even giving their allies increased GP generation isn't a thing we want.

Yeah, I agree - the latter power of the Hero is a kind of detrimental. I still think a unique 'Quest' action that could be performed within CS borders or whatever for certain rewards, would be good for a hero - reflecting their role in classical mythology.

In terms of the Amazon civ, yeah that could be pretty cool. I'm assuming they'd get some kind of ranged UU but beyond that I've no idea.

Well, the last part of the UA links to the GP abilities:

The Abduction of Helen - When a foreign City to which you are sending a Trade Route produces a Great Person, you have a chance to steal that Great Person (they count as having produced a Great Person, but do not lose their Great Person points). All Defensive buildings extend Trade Routes by 10%.

Essentially you want more GPs for yourself, so you leech off of someone by trading and increasing their GP spawn rate, but then grabbing it for yourself, leaving them pathetic and covered in resentment.

Also mythic Amazons.

Id' suggest Heroes spawning Great Works of Writing when they conquer a city. Legends of sorts.

Yeah, I really like that idea. I'm pretty sure that Anno Domini uses Heroes as Cultural great people to do just this, spawn unique great works based upon their legends

Yeah, that's really interesting synergy and it certainly makes the latter part of the Hero better, the only thing that makes me cautious about it is that it's chance based (for balance). It is probably fine though.

Ah - yes, in that case regalman I love that synergy.

Word to the wise, if you can build a step pyramid as Cleo, dont. It bugs out the production screen and deleted building from my capitol. Also does the UA seem OP to anyone else? I was able to pump out the statue of Zeus in 2 turns with 3 embassies. Most buildings cost 1 turn, but subsequent buildings go back up in cost.

I messed up while trying to nerf the amount of yields gained by the trait, it's giving you much more than 5% right now. Update coming soon.jpg.

Maybe 5% is a bit... too low? Especially in the early game.

How come you meet twenty two civs in the early game? Or at all?
