Little questions & answers thread

I discovered an XP shortcut;

Select Ibn Battuta with 2 momentos that give attribute points.
Select Modern Age start, whatever civ you want.
When you start spend 2 points on Wildcard Attributes, 1 point on any Civic and the rest however you want.
Spend the Attribute Points for your Momentos, then fishinish up both trees with your remaining 18 Wildcard points.
Unlock XP for finishing 2 Attribute Trees in 1 game.

You may repeat this process 2 more times and you'll get the XP for each of the 6 Trees being completed. Just remember to grab different Momentos.

I got those long ago just by playing the game naturally but I am sure this will help some.

Revolutionary Nelson is in every game I play and I really enjoy kicking his ass.
Just about opposite: I have played Revolutionary Nappy several times, but only seen him as an opponent about twice in over 100 games started.

Imperial Nappy I have seen exactly Once in the same number of starts.

On the other hand, Amina and Hatshepset seem to show up in every game that I start with Random AI Civs, and there was a stretch when Confucius was showing up in almost every game but that seems to have disappeared with the latest Patch.

Same on Confucius, he always was fine with me then he'd always ally Napoleon and start a war. I've only declared on Napoleon two or three times, he usually takes care of that himself. Haven't seen Confucius's demonic angry face since the patch. I have never seen imperial Napoleon, but revolutionary is in 90%+ of my games and always hates me. I'm almost sure he's been in every game but I'm not certain so I say 90%.

Been noticing all of my damage is a lot less than what the UI is telling me.
Is there something I'm missing here? I'm playing on Deity, but even then damage seems way too small.

It is a UI bug. It does not show all the bonuses that will affect combat and does not take them into account when calculating the expected damage (while the actual combat does). I am not sure what the exact conditions are, but it often happens in naval combat (sometimes it works, though).

A very good indicator is the bonus due to difficulty. On Deity, the AI should get a +8 modifier. If the UI does not show it (as in this example), you can safely assume that it is a lie.

What is the maximum distance a distant lands city can be from your capital in the homelands when creating a rail network to be able to build a factory? It appears to be much shorter than for trade routes.

If your Cap is on the coast it will need a Port. Then you need a Coastal city in the DL that also has a Port.

Any non-coastal cities in the DL will need to be connected by rail to a city with a Port.

If the cap is not coastal then it needs to be connected via rail to a coastal city with a Port.

I am aware of those requirements. My question was regarding the maximum distance settlements can be apart and still connect.
Please re-read my original question.

How does Nepal works? I don't understand their power "All Warehouse buildings apply to Mountain tiles, but they cost +1 Gold Gold and Happiness Happiness Maintenance."

There are no warehouse buildings that can be built on mountains so how/ when is this used??

Is there an ETA or educated guess on the next patch? June is approaching, and for the last patches, the announced some features a week or so before the patch dropped. Are we looking at end of June or is there a chance that the patch will drop earlier?

I was wondering the same thing. I thought it was announced somewhere, but can't find that info now.

Even the moderator on the official discord doesn’t know when exactly so I guess it’s a case of wait and see.
