Some World Congress stuff from Quill18, Canada #14

Global Energy Treaty
A: Ban a power plant type
B: -50% production cost of a power plant type

Climate Accords
have lowest CO2 output
Gold: 1 Diplo Victory point
Silver: 100 Favor
Bronze: 50 Favor

Stock Exchange is one of those powered buildings, as expected

Stock Exchange
+4 Gold, +7 Additional Gold when Powered

Makes sense—high frequency trading only makes you wealthy if your computers have power...

Reminder that Commercial city state bonuses are now split between Harbor and Commercial Hub buildings. This means the potential ceiling of Banks has been reduced, so a powered Stock Exchange is more powerful relatively (also gets a +4 bonus from R&F).

Quilly18 video with GDR walking around prove justification of my crusade against that ridiculousness. There wont be WW2 (even maybe WW1) not to speak about modern combat in this game - but giant robots destroying units which were in use during Verdun battle. Will disable it as soon possible.

Did I really just watch Quill18 purposely use the 3,000 production towards space race projects BEFORE +100% production towards space race projects?...

How is this guy so popular and how is able to play on deity if he makes very very very silly mistakes like this and every other mistake he's made? Base-game Civ6 mistakes - nothing to do with the new stuff in the expansion.

Unfortunately, such is the state of the AI in civ6 - the AI civs should have easily won multiple victories much earlier. It's pretty sad, even on deity, if you can survive the early rush you are practically guaranteed to win.

Edit: Just wanted to add that at the end of Quill's final Canada video he mentioned that streaming will be allowed starting Feb 11 - though he wasn't 100% on the date. Despite the title of this thread, livestreaming was blocked by the NDA agreement.

It was probably blocked in the NDA so that if they did open up the Civilopedia by accident or do anything else mistakenly, they can edit it out. ...something some people have still ignored.

Quill finally won his game- space victory. The thing is he probably would have won the diplomatic victory. He was worried about China beating him to space victory, so he really sped up his space victory progress. Though it's kind of sad he was able to beat space victory despite being severely behind most of the game. Emperor AI was really no challenge.

So he kept playing after victory to see if he could get that final diplomatic vote. He was at 7 diplomatic victory points I believe. He won his final vote, and he got 1 more diplomatic victory point for winning the climate accords. So this does show there is a path to victory even with AI opposition. He would have won, because I don't believe China would have got the space victory before this final vote and the end of the climate accords event. Cultural victory was never going to happen with Kongo in the game. So it's safe to say he probably would have been able to win both Science victory and Diplomatic Victory.

Quill has always been a "tech" player. Well, he is a domination player, but he always go for tech, tech, tech. So that he won a science victory is not that surprising. Even when he tries for other types of victories he goes for tech. He could probably also have won a diplo victory if he would have been more active in what happened in his game.
All the alliances in his game destroyed his game. So even though he earned a lot of favours because of it, the game became very uneventful and dull. I know that this happens in some games (while in other games you can't even get one alliance running). It will be interesting to see how Canada plays in a game where alliances are harder to get.

Agreed on that. He did use the diplo card to get 2 boosts for steal tech spy operations for a while. That helped him catch up in tech. Mid game he was really behind, but he caught up quite a bit at the end. He was effective at using spies to get tech boosts.

Do we have a list of all buildings that can get powered?
I know of factories and broadcast towers.

Research labs make sense, but haven't seen it yet

We have seen labs, they do get a Power boost. Military Academies do not.

We still haven't seen Stadia, Aquatic Centers, Airports, or Seaports.

They really need to fix this supply unit fixation.
