Vincente Fields Elected Supreme Justice

Vincente Fields (74), won the election last week with an overwhelming 87 percent. He wasted no time. An hour after being sworn in, he signed a document into order declaring that any crime committed against a child (even theft of said child’s property)was now a felony. More over, the minimal sentence for these crimes would be life imprisonment without a chance of parole. Many have voiced the opinion that this is too severe of a punishment, but Fields refused to rethink his position. Just after signing this law into existence, Fields requested a meeting with the High Council to discuss the formation of an elite federal law enforcement group. He argued that the current system was sluggish and disorganized, making it difficult to pursue criminals that constantly move from county to county. “Our current enforcement department consists of a bunch of trigger-happy territorial policemen, most of whom have not received any training apart from the outdated 2 month course they get before enlistment.” The High Council approved the formation of Federal Law Enforcement Agency (FLEA). The next day, he legalized the death sentence and doubled all sentences and fines corresponding to their crimes. He also gave policemen the right to kill rather than arrest and armed and threatening criminals rather than attempt to arrest them.

Fields made a few radical reappointments in the county and federal courts. According to the pole taken a few days after the election, Fields popularity dropped 40 percent in the first couple of days. Studies showed that most of the people who changed their mind about Fields, were from the southern counties, and mostly single men. Meanwhile, people with families and especially with children approve of Fields emphatically.

Over the weekend, Fields successfully pleaded his case to the treasury department and the Chairman of the High Council. The council of Justice funding was nearly doubled. Fields lost no time in recruiting new policemen and issuing large contracts to equipment factories. He upgrade the standard armor and weapons of police officers. One individual express the concern that Fields is building himself an army. Indeed, the effectiveness of these changes was demonstrated when two dozen policemen ran into a gang shoot out and killed and wounded 34 gangsters, while sustaining minimal casualties (1 dead, 3 wounded).

Many analysis’s believe that Fields is making so many radical changes because of his past. His father was killed in a drive by shooting when he was mistaken for a known gang member. In later life, his daughter was kidnapped and held ransom. That was why Fields became a lawyer in the first place, according to his wife.(continued on page 9)
