LK100 - Finally ready for regent, Persia, OPEN succession game

@LKendter: Sorry, I forgot about Monarchy. Anyway, it looks like I'm not well-known enough for people to know where the save was... :(

Proposal: On pangaea MM is a good tech to skip, especially in C3C.
Good point - we have found horses and iron. 66% of the land should be possible with the main land mass. The problem with this may be trading with other civs...

The other problem is that if there are little islands, and we mistakenly get an AI capital onto one, we're screwed and we have to try to do the get-booted-out-of-AI-territory-onto-an-island trick which never seems to work.

If we get Mysticism from America (I haven't looked at the save), and get Polytheism first, we might be able to trade that for Writing, and research Philosophy and get Monarchy as the free tech.

Map Making or Philo should be the excluded tech, but which depends on the situation.

America is up Mysticism, all are down Iron Working, except Aztecs, who are very stupid. That's the situation in case anyone is lazy and doesn't want to check the save.

Or they just can't find it. I wonder whom to blame?

LK100 2150BC
(0) I don’t like the idea of giving the Americans a monopoly IW for a monopoly Myst, so I’ll wait. Maths min maintained.
(1) Met Zulus, way behind (lack Mas, Alpha, Wheel and CB). 10g.
(2) Met Sumerians, up Mysticism, down Mas, Alpha, Wheel, IW. Get Myst+10g for Masonry.
I set max on math, maybe poly->philo then, I don’t count on a regent AI to do our job?
(3)
(4) ‘Polis settler – spear, we’re going for the Iron.
(5) Watching the grass. Is it growing or I have some hallucinations? Must be the French Wine.
(6) Pazargadae worker – rax
(7) ‘Polis spear – spear (lux down)
(8) Celts have a worker for sale, let’s not cripple them entirely. I skip.
(9) Arbela founded by the Iron, set on temple.
(10) ‘Polis spear – settler
America has IW now.
Wow that was fast.
EDIT: Notes up there - we're going for a domination, where is the problem with the islands?
EDIT2: sorry for not wasting the research allready spend on Maths.

Hmm? What's with the spears? We need Immortals which means warriors, warriors, and more warriors! :hammer:

'Tis only Regent and we're not going past the AA, so Warriors (Immortals) are better bets.

Remember 10 turns per round - STRICT 24 hours got it, total 48 to complete.
Repeat player restriction: You may NOT play a second round unless:
1) At least 2 different players in front of you.
2) The game has been IDLE for over 48 hours.
My goal is to let a ton of people play in this milestone game.

Special Restrictions:
We may NEVER leave the ancient ages. ONE AA tech must be left unresearched so that we **DON'T** get our free tech.
** The game will be terminated and closed if the above rule is violated - period. No replay, and no second chance.
The game MUST be won by domination.
HINT: The Temple of Artemis will never expire.
HINT2: Expect a lot of fighting, so Monarchy is the preferred government.

I hate spending 2X8 shields on warriors. We must get 'Polis up to 10spt.

avoid philosophy.
That will add a lot of flavour to the game. Can be interesting.

Not a got it. I would keep building veteran warriors (build barracks!) and not connect iron until in Monarchy for our Golden Age. Once we get all the techs we need, we can just upgrade warriors with our cash since we'll be at 0% science.

Remember to follow this rule though:

Resource abuse - You can't disconnect / reconnect a resource every turn for the sake of building cheap units to upgrade with excess cash.

So build as many warriors as we can at first, and try to get cities to 10 spt, 6spt ... any multiple of 30.

That's why I built the barracks.

lurker's comment: Or you can simply not connect the city with iron to the rest of the empire, and just move all warriors there for upgrade

Preturn- We look alright.

T7 1575

Antioch is founded NE of Persepolis.

T8 1550

We learn Math. Start us towards Polytheism, which Sumeria now has but it very unwilling to depart with. Several civs also learned HBR.

Disease hits Pasargadae.

IT- Celts demand mysticism. I want to tell them to stuff it, but our measily couple warriors and spears convinces me not to.

T9 1525

Nothing new.

T10 1500

Nothing of significance.

Summary

Settler should settle one tile NW on Pink Dot. Continue us on the path towards Monarchy, and continue expansion.

I'll be back :) :hammer:

Our empire as of 1500 BC....

Well only if we don't get enough players and the idle game rule kicks it. That doesn't seem like a problem here.

Hey, by the looks of this, we might not need Construction. We have plenty of cities and city spots on fresh water and the ones that are not are not going to grow past 6 anyways. Oh, and we're not building colosseums, right? ;)

We will soon have 5 cities, yet just 2 workers. We need to get more workers built and / or captured.
There is no need for loose city spacing in this game. No city will even use more then 12 tiles.
