LK135 - Dutch, monarchy, Hemispheres map

We are making steady progress towards a space launch. We are only one GP short of another golden age. Health is our main problem and I've built hospitals and mass transits where needed.

456: Rocketry in. Start Apollo, and decide to make a detour for mass media for the UN
457 We get the Eiffel Tower
458 Mass Media -> Satellites. Building the UN in Amsterdam.
460 Great Artist in Amsterdam, saving him for another golden age
461 Satellites -> Computers
462 Great Spy born, saving him for the next GA.
464 Computers -> Robotics. The workers run out of things to do, so I put them to sleep.

469 Robotics -> Composites. Started Space Elevator.

This one is pretty much on auto-pilot at this point. I don't know if I will even see the game back as we are well on the way to victory.

The Dutch UB building is an unreal late game building. I never thought I see an island city have base shields of 57.

We built Cristo Redentor, Three Gorges Dam, UN and Space Elevator.

Great Engineer emerged and started our last golden age.

World came in peace again... for two seconds :) Warn horn's blower got himelf to lung surgery :lol:

I probably started GA little too early but it doesn't really matter at this point. Fusion is finished next turn. Six turns remains on golden age.

lurker's comment: Nice work guys. The dutch IMO are the strongest civ now.
If you make it to the late game, I agree the Dutch UB gives absurd shields for coastal cities. Our production abilitites are off the chart.
 
Turn 0: I notice our 2nd and 3rd :hammers: cities don't have laboratories (or universities). Build univiersities.

Turn 1: Fusion in. Get Great Engineer, lightbulb Genetics with him. Rush buy laboratory in Haarlem. Start 1 engine in Nobamba

Turn 2: Genetics in. Start 2nd engine in Haarlem. Will turn 2 lumbermills to workshops in Haarlem, takes a turn of completeion time. Rush buy laboratory in S-Grave. Start building stuff everywhere to pad score.

Turn 3: Start Stassis Chamber in 's-Grave. Will convert lumbermills to workshops so it completes 1 turn earlier. Get a great merchant, he bulbs Flight.

Turn 4: We get a great engineer. He can't lightbulb anything so I found Mining Inc, will spread to see if I can take a turn off spaceship.

Turn 9: Launch!

A Great Spy was born and has built Scotland Yard in Amsterdam.
The world is at peace again and everyone runs Free Religion (U.N. resolution).

This map was real nice to us, denying the Zulu metal made taking them out easy. It was a good game though, I learned a lot, thanks everyone!

I can't get the last save to put the game in my Hall of Fame. I need all the wins there I can get, is there a command I can do to retire? Alt-Q doesn't seem to work.

To get the game into the HoF we need the 1918 AD save, or the replay file. Tatran, can you provide on of those?
 
I don't store any saves after a game is over, but from previous games I remember some people do.
 
The first time I played BtS I used the Dutch, and was amazed that a filler city turned out to be my main production city. All because of the UB, of course. Nice to play a game where we could see the same effect on a large scale. Good game, thanks everyone!
 
Thank you for a great game :) Wasn't much of a challenge thanks to Shaka who gave his cities to us just like that... What a nice guy ;)
