State of the Monarchy:

8 cities captured, 2 razed, 3 auto-razed!

- Our military is severely thin compared with the start of my turn. There are lots of calvary
arround, but they are wounded. I have emptied many cities of their riflemen to push
on the persians. This is probably OK, just need to be wary. I only lost 2 rifles
in battle, but looking at the home cities it looks like i lost a ton.
- Economy is massive -- pumping out 4 or 5 calv every turn -- enough for a new city captured.
- Workers are mostly military engieneers now -- building rail towards the targets.
- Persia: wrecked! Their last stronghold will be a little harder to get into (no jump-off
points at the moment), but once their lines are broken, they will be finished.
- Rome: we are still at war :) their 1 city cumae is with 3 days ride from siberia-11
- Happiness - a few WLTKDs ended, Bactra was only city to riot on my turns.
- Expansion: There is one settler north in Siberia ready to set down a city.
Also, 2 ships are on their way to Greenland with settlers.
Settler can be rushed for 80 gold in Greenland-3
South America: 1 ship is going to secure the rubbers permanently.
2 workers down there are making a road to the new city/colony locale.
- Science - Combustion in 2 turns, so dont forget to turn science down and reap some extra $$$
- Special Ops - we have a CIA now, so we can do spy missions-- i didnt establish any spys.

Actually, I thought this after each attack, but the home cities kept pumping so many calvary,
I couldnt help but attack something!

UH, what project? The next available project is probably UN, way to far away. MAJOR Shield wastage. Leaders can rush something other then a wonder.
 
I can't get it for about 9 hours.

If someone picks it up before then, switch some cities to Rifleman.

We need more occupation troops for the new cities and to safeguard our homeland.
 
haha lk! as i was writing that line, i thought "wait-- what IS the next project?" and figured it was apollo or manhattan or something. I figured 1 idle city was not going to kill us.

Switch Athens to Battlefield medicine, due in 6 turns.
Rush a couple of temples near Cherbourg - maybe it will flip to us.
Several cities switch to rifleman. Empty cities invite unwanted wars.

I end the paper war with Rome. Nothing much to get out of the deal.

Not much in the way of Persian attacks.

(1) 1330 AD - Siberia-14 is formed - of course, a temple is ordered.
This turn is spent on cleanup of Persian garbage by Darius Kabir.
I hate having an older version of the "J" command -
more workers move a square I wanted to leave.
I start pulling workers away from Persia.
We have way to much exposure, and not much in the way of guard units.
(I) England / Zulu ally vs. China.
Begin research on mass production.


(2) 1335 AD - Ghulman is captured - one less Persian city behind our lines.
We upgrade to a transport :)
:mad: We lose our INTACT cavalry army trying to kill a rifleman in Ergilli.
We then capture the town, but that was an expensive victory.
Just ONE Persian city behind our lines.
ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGG - I found 3 elite fortified cavalry -
Fortified units everywhere is not fun in succession games.
(I) Just one failed Persia attack.
I see a stack of Indian Cavalry moving around - where is it going?


(3) 1340 AD - Istakr is captured, but not the last city behind our lines.
Persia just formed another - I wish I had seen that settler pair.
Greenland-05 is formed.
Antioch is auto-razed.
The biggest thing holding be back - lack of defensive troops.
(I) Minor attacks by Persia.
I need to reinforce Delhi - I really don't want to lose the intelligence agency -
If Persia had won that fight...
France / Rome peace treaty.
Greece / Zulu alliance vs. China.


(4) 1345 AD - Gordium is captured.
The Great Leader of Fredick appears when a cavalry kills a spearman in Gordium
Instant factory in Neapolis - No wonders available at the moment.
We auto-razed Taursus.
This must be the magically turn for leader cavalry killing spearman -
As we capture Pasagadae - Karl der Gross appears.
Once again, proving us the leaders ASAP.
Another instant factory in Knossos.
Our production base went up a lot this turn.


(5) 1350 AD - Well, I didn't plan on Brundisium next - but when I caught the best defender was spearman...
Ashur is also captured.
Add Babylon to the list - Persia was more fragged then I realized.
We are still getting barb money from Greenland.
Diplomatic Spying proves that the 4 cities I see is ALL that is left of Persia.
(I) France / Persia trade Embargo.
Battlefield Medicine is completed.


(6) 1355 AD - Persepolis is captured - 3 cities to go.
Arebelia is captured - 2 cities to go.
Nineveh is captured - 1 city to go.
Heliopolis is captured - Persia LIVES?? - I hate that settler left bug.
Peace with Persia - not worth stop attacking the mother country unhappiness for ZERO cities.

Blast - I spotted a Persia setter, declared war, but they is still more of Persia out there somewhere.

Since is crunched down to just size 4, we take Alexandria.
Our cavalry cleans up the junk around Babylon.
Asyut, Abydos, Buto, Buhen are captured.

Multiple catapults are captured, instant Artillery - I love the cash flow we have.
Total campaign loses - 1 Panzer, 2 Cavalry, 1 Infantry.
I love the multiple panzer attack - 3 dead cavalry from 1 panzer.
We destroy a stack of Junk by Ham Tarsus.
We kill a knight stack by Arbela - though I had to attack with Infantry - ran out of attack units ;)
There is just 1 Egyptian city on our side of Alexandria.
(I) Begin research on flight.

The total Egyptian counter attack was to kill 1 panzer.


(16) 1405 AD - Pathetic, a panzer dies trying to kill a cavalry.
We capture Dakshur, and find Egyptian units everywhere - except defending the city.
IceTown-04 is formed.
Killing the same stack of 2 cavalry that cost us a pazner - gives us the great leader of Barbarossa.
Instant factory in Samaria - keep that production base building.
I find another Egypt settler - plus 2 workers.
A panzer killing a bowmen produces the great leader Rictoffen.
Instant factory in Tblisi.
The junk by Dakshur is almost gone.
Pop guns getting in range of Thebes.
(I)Rome / Egypt trade Embargo.


(17) 1410 AD - We begin the bombardment of Thebes.
India will complain next turn, but we capture a Egypt settler in his territory. :crazyeye:
(I) The Rome / China trade embargo ends.
We see our first tank from Egypt - it dies on the walls on Mycannae.


(18) 1415 AD - We have to stop the first Egyptian invasion into Europe - 1 marine, 3 bowman.
The only thing it does - promote 2 panzers to elite :D
Since Thebes was bombed to size 1 - we actually capture it -
We also get 1 artillery, 2 workers.
Greenland-08 is formed.
We trade incense to America for $27/turn.
We trade incense to India for $49/turn.
We can always use more cash - if it gets to high, rush a couple of temples ;)
Most of the civs already know tanks -
Tanks to Aztecs for Amphib war, $60.
They we probably one or 2 turns from learning it on there own.



(19) 1420 AD - Our Panzers are pitiful vs. Pithom, both die killing nothing :(
Killing a marine by Thebes produces - Hengest.
26 turns saved, and rushed factory in Tyre.
Giza is RAZED, the city is to exposed for the moment.
It breaks one source of oil for Egypt.
(I) We begin research on Fission.

(20) 1425 AD - It just seems appropriate - Our cavalry cleans up the remaints of resitance in Memphis.
The great Leader Horsa appears - another instant factory in Ham Tarsus.
Memphis is RAZED - I refuse to capture a size 12 city with 3 nearby Egypt cities.
We net 6 workers and a catapult.
Africa-02 is founded.
Africa-03 is founded.


The PALACE in Krakow is a placeholder for the UN.


Summary - There may still be some Egyptian junk behind our lines - watch carefully.
Don't move to fast in Egypt.
RAZE large cities - I don't want a flip.

Greenland and other junk cities should build - Temple, walls, harbor, settler (if possible).
These cities will never be productive, the sole goal is to claim more land.

DON'T bother building any universities. Our research is doing well already. I don't want to trip an accidental culture win.

Egpyt is a science threat, and needs to be taken out.




The good news - several civs are crippled, and pose no threat:
Russia, Babylon, Greece, Rome, England, Persia.

i was hoping someone else would jump in for a turn. ive been working on GOTM7, and its taking forever-- i'm not even sure i will finish before the end of the month.

Egypt definitely needs to be crippled.
If you get past Egypt - on to Zulu - They are also a tech leader.
I build a nice little fleet for when it is needed to invade America to stop a space ship.

Time is tight - don't bother cleanup Greece / England / Babylon, etc. No threat, we must stop the leaders. We don't have to eliminate a civ, just destroy there power base. Of course, Egypt already took a beating with Alxendria / Thebes.

Of course, we still need to settle the junk areas like Greenland for the sake of any squares to claim. I know I have a settler heading toward another junk island space.


I can't stress this enough - space race could start with 20 turns - Our strikes must be precise, and enough to stop potential space race winners. We can always cleanup later

1435AD(2) - IceTown-05 founded. Greenland-09 founded. Tanis captured at no lost. Lost 1 infantry & 1 Panzer in counter-attack. India & Egypt signed MPP. :mad:
1440AD(3) - India declare war on us. And our artillery failed miserablly in bombarding Byblos. :mad: Give China incense and RoP for an Alliance against India. :) Egypt declare war on China. :lol: We lost 3 infantry in Egyptian counter-attack! :eek:
1445AD(4) - The island city of Hamburg founded off coast of Africa. Hieraconpolis captured at the cost of 1 Panzer. Wilhelm II appear as we destroy an Egyptian tank. A panzer army is formed. Captured 3 Indian settlers. No attack by Egyptian. (China capture 3 of their cities) An Indian tank and a cavalry committed suicide at Arbela.
1450AD(5) - Byblos captured at size 4 and no lost. Greek destroyed by Chinese. English destroyed by Chinese. Rome signed a Military Alliance with India against us. :lol: Japan alliance with Egypt against China.
1455AD(6) - Culcatta razed at the cost of 2 Panzers but we gain 6 workers. ;)

This is a challenge indeed! We are still building up our panzers as the attack is mounted against Egypt. Thank goodness China is on our side so India is not a threat. :cooool:

GOOD riddance to Pithom - That city was annoying.
Glad to see more of the domination count towns (such as Greenland-09) were formed.

+12 workers :) We still have a lot to do.
Europe isn't even at 100% railed yet.

The real challenge - the clock is really ticking because of the science race. The good news - India WAS a space race threat.
We need more to cripple space race threats then anything.

I was going to post more interim result yesterday but the forum went down before I manage to. Oh well. Here is the balance of the 20 turns :

1460AD(7) - India and France embargo against us. Lost an infantry in an Indian attack. Lost 3 Panzers to defending Mech Inf in Pi-Ramesses before finally capturing it at size 3. Cumae captured & Roman is destroyed. Egypt & France embargo against us.
1465AD(8) - Discovered Fission and going for Computer. Iroquis starts the UN. We convert our Palace to UN (completing in 1 turn :lol: ). Palace expended.
1470AD(9) - France & Egypt signed Alliance against China. El-Amana razed after costing us 4 Panzers. Was El-Amana founded upon the ashes. Rajshahi captured. Iroquis started SETI. And NO we don't want a UN election.
1475AD(10) - Iroquis starts Manhattan Project. German army moves towards Lisht. Lost an Infantry in Egyptian counter-attack. America starts SETI.
1480AD(11) - Krakow starts Palace while waiting for SETI. Lisht captured at size 4. Aztec starts SETI.
1485AD(12) - El-Ashmunein captured at size 4. France & Egypt alliance against China. Japan & Egypt embargo against us.

I believe Egytian is no longer a thread in terms of space race. However, we need to watch out for the 3 American Civs as they are all Democracy (though that might not last as I think all of them is at war with China.) and all pretty advance in tech. All the Euro-Asian Civs are either small or Communism. ;) One mistake I
have made is used all the cash so we are not getting the 50gp interest per turn. :p We should be getting Dye in a few more turn from South America. If we want to get all 8 luxuries (Spice being the last one) then we should just attack India to grab some. :)

I can't look in detail at work, but it suspect we do want to grab more land from India. Those cities will actually be close enough to the palace to be productive.


We do need to plan for a possible American invasion soon.
AIRPORTS are a PRIORITY - Get some built.
