Preturn, nothing to change.
IT We get Leonardo's, switch to Aqueduct. Everyone building Sistine's.
Our Forbidden Palace seems a bit close...I sure would like it a bit
deeper into Roman territory but it's a bit late for that now.
(1)760AD Cheaper Knights are great! We upgrade 7 horsies for 280g.
(2)770AD not much
IT We get Education...and Gunpowder! We appear to have plenty of
Saltpeter, but I'm inclined to stay with building Pikes for less
shields and paying to upgrade to Musket where needed later.
(3)780AD Our spice deal ran out, and Scandinavia wants horses now. I don't see
how this can hurt us in the short run, but I prefer to give them
money...450 gold instead...actually, forget it. Only Paris needs
to hire an entertainer, and for now that does not affect its growth
rate or shield output. To be revisited after the Forbidden Palace
comes online...Oh, and I switched us to Banking and turned on Science.
Banking in 15 at +gpt seems prudent for a commercial society.
(4)790AD not much
IT Forbidden Palace comes online...gpt jumps from 23 to 36 gpt while
Banking drops two turns.
(5)800AD nothing doing
IT Babylon builds the Sistine Chapel...I still wonder if this would
have been a better build for us...needs someone to calculate the
gold savings for each with our no native worker variant in mind.
(6)810AD Just trying to upgrade all of our units...very tough since
they are scattered all over the place and we have a lack of Barracks
due to hoping for Sun Tzu!!!
IT Two totally corrupt cities riot on me...no great loss timewise
really so I just hire an entertainer for them. Both will starve but
the no worker variant doesn't allow the worker peel off. Man, some-
times this can be a bit of a bummer.
(7-9)820-840AD zzzz.....
(10)850AD Gems + 250 gold to England for Ivory. I hope this is the
last time, but we cannot trade with most of the other continent yet
(no Astronomy) and we need some extra lux. We can take out Rome soon
and that should give us time to mass our forces for England...actually,
our peace deal is over with Rome and all offensive forces have full
movement for the next leader to deal with.
