Loading bug hotseat game

I've installed the latest bug mod and I've attempted to play hotseat. However, all attempts at loading the saved game (that I started with the latest installed bug mod) has resulted in the game unexpectedly quitting during loading.

I have done some reading but can't find an answer for this problem.

How did you install it?
What kind of system do you have?
What OS are you using?
What error messages (if any) do you get?

Help us help you, k? :)

I am having problems with loaded autosaves in hotseat no longer allowing the "Next Turn" button to work.

So, basically, in hotseat the game crashes about every ~100-120 turns, then when you load an autosave you can no longer continue.

One workaround we found is that sometimes if you load the autosave, save normally, and then load that save, you can continue.

When you say the Next Turn button doesn't work, can you be more specific? Does it turn red after you've moved your last unit? Does clicking it get rid of the flashing "End Turn" text at the bottom of the screen? Anything else?

I only recently added Hot Seat support to BUG to allow all players to use reminders and the strategy layer, so it's likely I missed something along the way.

No, sorry, I've somehow ended up in the wrong forum (that's what I get for following a google link).

This is an issue with Civ V's new hotseat, actually.

Right - and we haven't released BUG for Civ V yet.

I wouldn't bother until Civ V will run without crashing constantly. :p

I cannot even get my version of V to run.
Spoiler :
Mainly because I haven't (and won't) purchase a copy :D

Civ V doesn't crash for me, but it takes soooo long to load. :( My machine isn't as beefy as it used to be compared to what's out there, but it's no slouch either. It takes 30 - 60 seconds to get to the main menu and 30 seconds to load a saved game. The way I worked on BUG was to be constantly restarting Civ4 with a saved game after every little Python change. I would go mad trying to mod Civ5 without a supercomputer.

I should actually clarify. I have never been able to play a full game because of system crashes. I thought it was my graphics card, so I bought a new one and tried after the latest patch. I can't even get the game to load. After four tries, I got so far as to settle a city, and then I was treated to a lovely blue screen.

I un-installed it. I think I'll wait until the expansions for Civ5 are in the discount bin and then try again. Maybe Firaxis will get its' "stool" together and have a working game by then.
