I'll start you guys off with the story of why I need one, just to make things interesting. Okay, mainly my internet connection has been touchy lately, and after a call to my ISP reprensative, he said it can either be one of two problems. I have no need to say what the first problem it might be was, because I've already put a slash through it. Anyway, my problem seems to be that my modem (external BTW) is starting to go bad. So, I'm in the market for a new modem.
Any hints as to what I should be looking for (other than a modem.. I meant brands etc.)? Also, is there any chance that my router might not work with the new modem? Last question, I've noticed differant speeds on the differant models. What does this mean? Does it mean that that modem is capable of a faster connection than another one, and if so, should I go for the one with the faster connection?
