Looking forward to it

I am looking forward to this, but am not sure how fun it will be in the endgame. Allegedly, your culture/civilization is supposed to act with other players civs in some universal/galatic setting?

I assume this means that your 'spore' civilization could be wiped out by another players civ?

Of course, the fun part is simply designing your own critters and getting them to that piont.

How long does it take to play one full game?

Its seems very long and if it isnt well that not very fun

Well, I think there are like 4 or maybe 5 stages to it. Knowing these type of games, it could take awhile.

Well seems stage 4 is to mimic Civilization that means Stage 4 is maybe a few hours long.

Does that mean Ill spend the first stage playing several hours of Pacman?

I was looking forward to it , but after not hearing much about i i had forgotten it. So when it is coming out ?

I hate the crap graphics :(

I normally care very little about computer games, but this sounds a lot of fun. I'm going to download the demo, and I may very well go out and get it. I haven't bought a PC game since Civ 3.

It sounds fun, but I bet it would be more overhyped than Black and White.

IIRC each stage can be played as long or as little as you like.

the game sounds cool but I'm afraid that since it's a maxis title it's going to be a bare bones game that they'll release 8 different expansions for, like every other maxis title. though I can't wait for "spore hot date"

would? This has already been in the generator for YEARS.. its ridiculus.

Depending on the reviews I'll probably get it, just not for a few months. I never, ever buy pc games on launch, there's just too many lazy programmers/pushy marketers/stupid beancounters to trust it'll be right at launch.

The biggest problem could be DRM. There was a big uproar a few weeks ago when they announced Spore would be required to phone home every 10 days to be playable. Don't have internet on your computer at check in time? Their authentication servers are down? Too bad, you can't play the game you paid for. They claim to have backed down from this after the public outcry, but I'll wait and see what they end up doing. If it has something like SecurROM or StarForce, I won't buy it, no matter what.
