1. The feature that removes promotions when your unit upgrades (for example, from Melee to Gunpowder, the Glorious promotion line is lost) triggers a message that the promotion has been removed and your unit can now select a new promotion.
I don't know if this is working as intended, but the message implies that you get your xp back and can select a new promotion without the unit experiencing any additional combat. In my current game, you do not get xp refunded for the lost promotions on any units I have tried this on. I have not tried this on units that do not have free promotions; I wonder if the game is counting total promotions on the unit against the amount of xp, and erroneously finding that no xp needs to be refunded on units that had free promotions when built.
2. Another upgrade issue (unrelated) is that I noticed the Clockwork Golem does not have an upgrade path.
3. Lastly, I have tried many different ways to get the Dedication promotion with units, but so far have only been able to get it on Crusaders who have a Noble/Viceroy attached. Attaching a Noble/Viceroy and/or Warlord to any other unit has not yielded this promotion option, despite trying many different combinations. The Civilopedia states that it only requires Lead by Noble and Combat 2. Is there a hidden piece to the mechanic that is not shown there?
Thanks! I'm finding this very enjoyable to test out, and I'm looking forward to the multimaps!
