Fine, in the meantime I could also sort out a thing that prevents normal users from uploading big files. Just one thing, I prefer rar archives, because they allow to reduce the filesize even further then zip files. So you can now upload up to 250 MB rar files.

9-June-2011. I have one this Saturday, then a week to study and then Monday/Thursday.

What needs to be done for the final release of LE?

• credits.txt
• skunkworks removes retool penalty
• Record Tristan/Oblivion/Meora/Navius quotes
• Bioscans. There is a 21 one day thing involved here
• Get feedback from more than one player
• Cast and record all remaining quotes
• Cast and record the EVA (computer readout person)
• Write Tech Longs (seen on technology screen)
• Artwork: Title Screen, bad, break, cloud, forgr, fung, liberate*, seized, starv, unitfound, new resource discovered, holobooks, report, main menu, perhaps others
• *remember that most of them have a large monolith version*
• Remaining sounds, such as unit selected, attacking noises and so on
• RELEASE CHECKPOINT

My primary concern is finding players though. I don't have any vocal ones actually playing and giving feedback.

I got a response from bdanv! He says that he's the only real person still around of the Game of the Month team, which is unfortunate, but that doesn't mean that it can't be done. I'll reply to him now (this assignment/exam period as made me lazy ) saying I'm interested, but yeah just reporting the news.

I've recently started a private AC TC (whoa acroynms ), with 7 factions to do with it. Of course they are probably horribly imbalanced, so I thought that a natural solution was to rely on the veterans here at CFC. I am done! I didn't reply straight away last night as I was very tired hehe. But yes it is all over! I have also got a Yugioh tournament on tomorrow, first one I can go to in a while!

As for LE, I haven't got any volunteers from my CGN post. A bit disappointing but I'm sure that there's some willing people out there! As for what I'm going to do, probably give it a play through some time in the near future to get back into the zone a bit. I've fallen out of touch with the characters and so on so that's important. Then there is the productivity aspect. I can see 3 areas that I can work on: artwork, audio and text. Artwork I have fallen out of practice, audio I will need to investigate, text I have no problems doing right away as soon as the inspiration is there. I should/will also put some thinking into what I will do promotionally on the channel.

I've noticed that a DRM-free version of SMAC (not X yet) is available for purchase. I don't know what this means for the patch--I won't talk any more about it because I don't want to be taken out by the Assassins but still, just had the thought.

I use to do long posts in a text edit program (and would save occasionally).

Is this the first time we've posted at the German site? If so, the standard one is fine. Otherwise I'll whip something up for ya. I'll probably fire off another PM to Kyrub/JH24/etc to see how they are doing as well. I'll admit that I am still in a bit of a simmering down mode as of the moment but I will get back to work within a few days (sorry!).

I'll be transparent and say that due to some run-ins with shady browsing (been going great for ages, look forward to doing so again and so far so good, Glory to God! ) I've sorta "fallen out" with my characters and Lost Eden by logical extension. I'm just not inspired about it at the moment. It's still a great project and I will get it done. Perhaps a few days of having some fun doing C&C and then I'll be ready for more. Might also give the game a play. Haven't done that for ages.

Taking affirmative action, I have sent a PM to the Poly person about how I should go about uploading LE on there. Otherwise, no replies from PMs from JH24, Kyrub or Bdanv.

You might want to check out this thread in Site Feedback. Some other members from "Down Under" are seeing odd behavior. You might consider posting in that thread with a description of what you're seeing to help troubleshoot the problem.

Oh it was deliberate, but it's been two weeks since. I've posted about the apparently regional advert thing.
