Eventually they do, but the Rogue is in between. Maybe the Rogue should be buffed? And moved into the Ancient Era?

Rogues are key early units and very important to prehistoric strategy (especially if there are a lot of Neanderthals around). I definitely don't like the idea of moving them. If the ambusher gets a first strike the rogue does not get, and comes later, then surely rogues should upgrade to ambushers rather than the other way around?
 
On a related note - ambushers currently have (IMO) totally the wrong AI types. They should be UNITAI_PILLAGER, and MAYBE UNITAI_COUNTER, but certainly not UNITAI_ATTACK as they are now (which is why the AI is relentlessly building them I suspect, though I haven't checked in detail yet)

I totally agree here.

Ambushers were ment as a side branch of the Rogue line. They were specialized in poison. Perhaps we should just have them upgrade into Assassins instead.

AH now that is where i bet i made the mistake when i was in a hurry to get the unit into the game. But then again there really isnt a UNITAI_PILLAGER???

But would that be the DefaultUnitAI or UnitAI?

Both - it should certainly be the default, and I think it's harmless to also include it in the general UnitAI (leave counter in for now but take attacker out I would say - and check the other criminal lines are set up similarly)

Just asking because there is a "slight" difference with AI stuff.

UnitAIs: Inside here go the methods which the AI uses to command this unit. It dictates the roles which the unit is good for.

DefaultUnitAI: The default way in which the AI uses the unit.

Just thinking again the Ambusher doesnt currently HAVE pillage, and really shouldn't, but should "attack" pillagers."

If we lose the crime property off them they'd probably be ok with the AI types they have now, but having negative crime on anything but units that are mostly going to have the pillage AI isn't going to work without a lot of AI work - the AI will simply suicide with them by driving it's own crime levels through the roof.
 
I already posted the icon/buttons for that and other pink button techs in the promotion thread. ls612 just has to add them to the SVN.

Well then for "future" venue.;)
 
Is it possible to change the graphic wardogs, it is now the end of the XV century soldier and the unit is available in the classic.

Sure, where is the "replace me" button? Also, the buttons should now be on the SVN.

Why would a better unit (Stone Spearman) upgrade to a lower unit (Atlatl).

The vs Mounted is +25 % better with Stone Spearman?? If the Atlatl is an Archery unit, should it be better "against" an archery unit, then a person walking up to you with a Spear? I am just confused here??:crazyeye: Something is wrong someplace.:mischief:

Why is a Stone Spearman (Str 3) better than an Atlatl (str 4)? And a Stone Spearman upgrades to a Bronze Spear or a Javilineer not an Atlatl. Unless something has changed since yesterday morning in the Mod?
