First let me say hello as a brand new member.

As I live in Chile it is extremely difficult to buy games online. No one wants to deliver here because of the amount of illegal copying. I have heard that its possible to buy a download copy of M2TW but google directed me to this site and I signed up but don`t see it. Anyone know about this.

Andrew

Its called Steam (perfectly legal before mods close this, the company decided to allow the game to be sold online as a download). Unfortunately, its only available for customers in the US which is a problem.

Do you have game stores there? I think that Amazon and Ebay post some things everywhere.

Amazon will not deliver games out of the USA nor the UK to Chile and I suspect to many other countries. The problem is fraud and that we have to live with. Its a nuisance and therefore direct download fron someone such as Steam or using froends to mail you is the only way. Store do carry games but only once they are released in the local lingo which here is Spanish.

Thanks. I`ll follow this up.

Andrew, your monicker is very Scottish and so I assume that you would prefer the UK version of the game. I haven't checked but my guess is that there must be plenty of UK games retailers who are willing to ship to Chile. Get Googling, my friend!

I checked 101CD, a firm that I have used several times in the past and it looks like they would be willing to accept your business. Unfortunately, M2TW isn't in stock yet.

IThanks for the contact. I`ll log that into my computer for the next game. I have, meanwhile, had Amazon UK deliver M2TW to m grandson in London who will ship it, recorded delivery, to me in Chile. Interestingly Amazon USA would not deliver to the UK and indeed there are many articles that cannot be bought in the USA and shipped abroad.

Anyway meanwhile I am practising on two different demos of RTW which I came across on old PCGamer DVD`s.

Muir is indeed Scottish although we were originally French Mercenaries and changed our name from Molyneux to Muir to fit in better with the local scenery - viz the moors.

Thanks for your help.

So... you are pretty old, eh? I didn't know that old people play Total War games!

It must suck that games are hard to get becuase of piratism.

Even my grandson is teenager. They used to tell me that playing games would ruin your eyesight and dull your brain. That view has now changed and they now realize that action games keep your reflexes in trim and strategy games keep the grey stuff from decaying too rapidly.

Yes it does suck but then living in paradise has its compensations.

At least an older person shows and proves video games don't ruin my eyes and brain! :old: :scan:

Actually it's available to customers who live in North and South America. Although Andrew seems to have solved his problem.
