Mac/Pc out of sync

Hello guys,

I am a long time reader but this is my first time posting. I realize that this topic has been discussed before, and In a thread I read on here it directed me to http://support.aspyr.com/entries/22294781-civilization-v-steam-mac-pc-out-of-sync

Heres the deal, I want to play with my friend really badly. It's been almost 2 months! That was the reason I convinced him to get civ. It seems like aspyr might NOT release this last update. Is there a way i can downgrade my civ 5 so I can play with him? This is really stupid It's been this long.

I'm pretty sure they're working on the update .

But no, sadly there's no way to downgrade :/.

Yep. This is a painful issue for sure!

Would it be better for Firaxis to hold out on releasing the Windows patch until they can do a simultaneous Mac/Win release?

Or would that not put enough pressure on Aspyr to release the Mac patch?

What do you guys think?
