IIRC, all the FP does with the latest patch is raise the OCN, and make the core more oval shaped. Does that make sense?

Anyhow, I would say that perhaps one of the former Portugese cities may be a good choice, as the next best land is in Japan.

FP definatly does NOT produce a second core. I think it does something like reduce corruption and waste by 90% or so.
Get it into a highly productive city on the south part of the continent.

New Yax, Karakorum and Edo are prime candidates to me....
New Yax: Game, River, Mountain (to many possibly)
Karakorum: Cow, Horse, River, Mountain, Hill, allready develloped, IIRC some wonders (dont remember if it does and what)
Edo: Away from the front line, cant really see other big plusses here

Going thru the list I would say Karakorum, but for the flip risk (if any) and the front line.
If we rush the FP there, we have to make sure we dont lose it!

Good thinking by the way, the benifit will be much greater if we have the FP allready. Tho we do not really need the GA at this time and place....

I played 10 tho I got a bit tired of noting everthing down, I needed to finish... its currently 1:30 am in the NL

And there are about 10.000 city's and a 100.000 units if you want to take everything down... I would be here till 2 PM! :crazyeye:

You know, it's already done, but I really don't like the RoP tactic. I think it was entirely unnecessary and generally considered bad form in SG's. In fact, the first post in the thread says "lk's rules", and I think LK would probably come to your house and skin you alive if this was his game. Like I said, it's already done, but I just wanted to voice my distaste for the methods. I especially don't understand why our units were even in their territory if we didn't already declare.

As far as keeping cities, I wouldn't keep any either. Raze everything, except for cities that have a lux we need. I also don't see a need for building any new cities from this point on. Also make sure we have a harbor over there in case there is no coastal cities, assuming there is a viable trade route. Agree that fast movers are the way to go, given our tech lead. Not sure the current tech status, but as long as we have cavs before they have muskets, we should be able to simply outproduce their defensive capabilities.

I dont normaly use it at all, given the situation I thought it was the thing to do...
They were isolated (did not know anybody) and conquering the island is a pain... I thought the combination asked for them to be had this way....
Obviously I was wrong and appearently broke some rulez in the process, I appologize....
