MadV1

Ummm, is it just me, or is the save not there?

I tried checking the upload folder too, but no luck.

Maybe I'm an idiot or something, but I don't see the save anywhere.

Perhaps someone could just humor me and repost it?

OK, you guys may not believe this, but I still can't see the save. I'll try to dig through the uploads folder again, I guess.

I have no idea why it doesn't show up on my screen, but it doesn't appear at all for me. Very confusing to be sure. I actually found where it is in the uploads folder, but I can't see it there either.

I don't know what else to try, I have no problem with othersaves in the thread, or with other threads.

Perhaps someone can just e-mail it to me or something?

Yes, there is obviously something wrong here. As I said, I can see every other save I've checked, but for some reason, this save refuses to display at all.

I can even post the URL and everything right here, It shows up when I quote the posts, but it does me no good if I can't see a link to click.

@MadV, I got the PM, but it was exactly the same as every other time it's been posted. Either let someone else play, or someone can send me a real e-mail with the save attached. It doesn't matter to me either way, but with all this hassle, I can't play it today now regardless.

SAVE

EDIT: See? I know the save is there, but it just doesn't show.

Hallelujah, finally have the save.

Thanks Namliam. :)

I have to admit, looking at the save, I’m a bit confused as to what our goal is here. We have way too many useless scattered little towns if we want a conquest, and the towns are building the wrong things if we want dom.

Personally, I thought conquest is the goal, and as such I will work towards that. I change a lot of builds in the south to libs for border expansions, and hire as many taxmen as I can, netting about 85gpt. Change some of the builds up north too, but nowhere near as many. Sorry for the wholesale changes, it’s generally bad form, but I had to.

Get all the knights and boats headed for the launch spot. I’ll delay them long enough to get cavs, then we will embark. Will leave most of the useless towns undefended. If someone is going to take a town before we can defend it, just abandon the thing. I’d rather no one got a town like that.

810 AD (1) – SoZ produces our first, and only AC.

820 AD (2) – Dutch have a dinghy near our island. No troops have been dropped off, but I figure they have a settler pair on board.

830 AD (3) – Metallurgy in, start full bore on Mil Trad.

840 AD (4) – Notice a Hittite galley sailing around, didn’t realize they weren’t dead yet. Whip up a caravel to try and sink them.

IT – The stupid Dutch drop off a settler pair.

850 AD (5) – Caravel attacking the Hittites, dies after dealing 2 damage, rush another one.

860 AD (6) – Lose another stinking caravel to the Hittite galley, doing no damage this time. So I rush a third.

870 AD (7) – Cavs in, research off. I pay the hefty sum of 1,020g to upg 34 knights.

880 AD (8) – Finally destroy the Hittite galley, only to discover they have a tundra town far to the north. So I make peace to get a happiness boost for now.

890 AD (9) – Land our invasion force near Den Helder. Raze the Dutch foothold city on our island.

Recap: I’m gonna stop here. I took this many turns because there wasn’t much to do to except prepare. The workers are generally just kinda doing whatever, I didn't feel like putting the thought into what they actually *should* be doing. :D Any cavs that are on a go to order are heading for Edo, any caravels will be going to New Chichen Itza. There is plenty of money to rush whatever you feel like rushing. Try to leader farm a bit to get a few armies in the field. Have fun, they’ll never know what hit them. :hammer:
