Mafia & NotW Hosting Queue - 2020

That sounds awful
Well, that's the kind of thing usually done in experimental games and/or has an interesting compensatory mechanism. E.g. in some games in MU you can have people join anonmyous threads so that no-one really knows what's going on.

Unless you know that role PMs are unreliable, the GM should never lie in them.

I remember that I played Zack Mafia, but I remember approximately nothing else about it.

It was a very easy game. Zack, the host, was the mafia and his nightkills were decided by an RNG. Logically we all lynched each other and he won.

Literally in the name, huh?

Yes! Actually civplayah caught on to it, or at least suspected it strongly (I think he and landlubber were still sharing the one account) but never managed to get the town to lynch Zack. We actually had a community spirit that allowed for such shenanigans to happen without anybody taking offence back then, too.

Who could take offence at Zack? Looking back, my first Zack Mafia was IV, so by then other players already told me to expect that.

Nazis and Horsemen and Communist masons and talking dead. That's when I won the Takhisis award for most non-spam posts... With 200 posts across 12 days.

We should have more weird games with weird awards again. Tim Mafia when???

My games always have awards. :D

Star Trek was as weird as I could get away with making it I think.

But it had no weird awards. :(

You can also make it weirder. You know you can. Take a look at those Zack Mafia games. ;)

There was a weird award, it's just that no one won it. You came closest, but still never deciphered the mystery clue in the flavor.

But, yeah, I could probably make things weirder.

Dammit. It was strawberry and mint, wasn't it? I knew it. :(

Preregistering for Stormtossed.

inverse cult+split town + 2 mafias 2 serial killer + opposite-alignment lovers + fake masons first play one. ;)

Some of these sound fake.

Scum(Monty) got paired with town me in a similar game about a year back.

I played badly but helped antispew my partners for the endgame. The host is doing a kill-less round two.

Honestly this may be the future of networking if I were to ever get around to hosting enough on MU to build cred for the setup. Transparent toward the postgame (unlike PMs), centralized and flexible, easily monitored and managed by the host.

Hi Monty! Been a while!

Thanks for joining in Stormtossed. I think it will be interesting. Or weird, as Jo would probably say.

Yes.

Correct reference:

First game.
Right.

I'm gonna probably have to start around then if Rask doesn't show up soon. I have a business trip in early July so I need to get my game going if I am gonna host. :)

I didn't want to overlap but it may be necessary.
