Mafia/NOTW Statistics

All of my Large games are on there. I feel so popular!

But you don't feel loved?

Well, I was going to wait for sprig to post his endgame stuff before I did the stats for The Immortals, but it's been three weeks and still nothing. So forget that, I'm doing the stats for them now:

JoanK doesn't count as being in the game, since he left before it started.
classical counts only for his first character.
Bad Player died in the last update, and kill fire and john were WoG'ed. I believe that the replacements are: Darth Feather replaced Chinese Warlord, Winston replaced Darth Caesar, and Ekolite replaced Secret Scribe. Which gives me what I believe are the following stats, though it would be nice if sprig would confirm I'm right about the replacements:

Won: 24 (Darth Feather, choxorn, PaulusIII, Catharsis, Frozen In Ice, spaceman98, Verarde, Ekolite, Zack, Nintz, Kennigit, TheLastDays, Backwards Logic, topsecret, Visorslash, Autolycus, robbiecon, Jarrema, thomas.berubeg, classical hero, SouthernKing, Seon, BSmith1068, Stuck in Pi)

Lost: 6 (Takhisis, The Black Knigh, Askthepizzaguy, Winston Hughes, KingMorgan, Bad Player)

Town: 28 (Darth Feather, choxorn, PaulusIII, Catharsis, Frozen In Ice, spaceman98, Verarde, Ekolite, Zack, Nintz, Kennigit, TheLastDays, Backwards Logic, topsecret, Visorslash, Autolycus, robbiecon, Jarrema, thomas.berubeg, classical hero, SouthernKing, Seon, BSmith1068, Stuck in Pi, kill fire, johnhughthom, Chinese Warlord, Secret Scribe)

Mafia: 7 (Takhisis, The Black Knigh, Askthepizzaguy, Winston Hughes, KingMorgan, Bad Player, Darth Caesar)

Survived: 10 (Darth Feather, choxorn, PaulusIII, Catharsis, Frozen In Ice, spaceman98, Verarde, Ekolite, Zack, Nintz)

Replaced: 3 (Chinese Warlord, Secret Scribe, Darth Caesar)

WoG'ed: 2 (kill fire, johnhughthom)

So, Create your own hero. As I mentioned in thread during the post-game conversation, There's a few iffy things about this game, namely Jarrema screwing up and giving two townies the wrong VC for the first night, which technically made there 9 non-townies to 7 townies and even if I don't discount it for that, giving someone the wrong VC is a pretty serious hosting error, even if it's corrected very early into the game.

So, like I said in the thread, this game is iffy as to whether I should count it or not. Thoughts? Should I not count it because of the number of townies? Because of the hosting error? Because of something else in the game?

Hosting error, set it aside.

So, does set it aside mean "I should count the game" or "I shouldn't count the game," because it could easily mean either one of those things. :p

It obviously means that you shouldn't count the game.

Yeah, that's what I thought you said, just wanted to make sure.

Final ruling: Due largely to that error and a bit due to the townie/scum relative numbers, I won't count Create Your Own Hero.

I also won't count None Shall Pass, except for Most Players and Most Posts, for reasons that should be obvious. I'll hold off on actually adding it to those two statistics until the post-end-of-game activity dies down a bit more.

No, just count it in with its current number of posts.

I've always waited for previous long threads, and I'm going to continue doing that for this one. :p

I think the number of noncounting games has risen over the years...

It's been a combination of some really weird games (the Wild Ride-type games with less than half the players being town, for instance) and me having a better idea of what I should and shouldn't count.

There was a saying where I was from, "three miners for e'ry farmer". What was wrong with the scum to townie numbers? The town won! [recall I was a role playing dwarf, the best there ever was!]. I was quite satisfied with that game.

though hosting error is fine to exclude for.

Yeah, I know, but I think I said a while back when I first got to Wild Ride that games where the town is not a majority really mess with things, too much to count them, and this one had a just barely majority town with two members who were kind of not originally townies.

Technically, I only admitted to being neutral, and only because sprig decided to ask everyone and their dog what the innocent VC was and I didn't have a good answer to that.

Riedquat was the one who admitted to being mafia.

I'm not disputing that particular game (well somewhat in that case, but I forgot some other aspects of the game that makes ya'll more in the right) but blanket statements about ratio of scum:town can be misleading

I seem to remember you claimed that you and your teammates were a weird mason group or something? I'm just giving you a hard time, regardless. It actually worked - I thought you weren't scum because that claim was so ridiculous to make if you were scum.
