I noticed a couple of problems with drowns.
When creating a drown from a warrior, the upgrade is incorrect.
It will be independant of the kind of metal that your melee units can use. So, il you have access to mithril, an upgraded warrior will be of strength 4+1 unholy, while having mithril weapons. If you upgrade it earlier to a drown when having only copper, its initial strangth will be identical, but when you have access to mithril its strength becomes 7+1...
I guess I'll need to remove such promotions first, and possibly also remove and then reapply equipment to prevent such things from happening.
Also, the cost of an upgrade to a drown seem to be correlated with the experience (and maybe tier) of the unit and can reach insane amounts (I noticed 2000+ gold). While there may be good reasons for such an amount, the player should be warned and the cost of the upgrade indicated. Otherwise it can rapidly blindly run out of cash.
I requested the PyHelp tag in CIV4SpellInfos.xml specifically in order to have the game show the price of such spells, but then forgot to try use it for that. I'll test it now.
Another pair of remarks about supplies. As Magister said in a previous post, they are now a buildable unit, but all leaders seem to be able to build it , while it was supposed to be reserved for some traits (sprawling, industrious IIRC).
BTW, sprawling civs do not get a real advantage form this feature. Indeed it is impossible to build anything in a settlement with a supplies, while it could lead to interesting strategies.
I never really decided whether I wanted to limit it to certain traits or not. I personally quite like being able to make pre-fab buildings for my less productive cities. It did not seem like the most popular idea among others in this thread though, so I was intended to remove the feature before my last release but then simply forgot.
Is there a changelog with the latest release? I didn't see one in the archive file.
It is hard to make changelogs when you make changes so gradually as you go without really planning in advance. I have not made an official one, although I think all of the changes have been discussed in this thread. The changes were pretty minor, apart from taking advantage of Tholal's DLL changes and altering how the White Hand ritual works so that it can grant a permanent alliance with Auric.
Er... the 'End of Winter' option seems to generate an actually frozen map that does not warm up. Is there a way to fix this? I don't see how there would be a problem mapping it into the submod.
It is warming up just fine for me.
The speed at which it warms is influenced by the game speed. I mostly play Quick Games. It could be that it takes too long for those who play on Marathon.
You can check (or even change) the temp terrain timers in worldbuilder if you wish. The timers only appear if you click the button to get into temp map features mode, in which case the displayed terrain/feature/improvement/bonus will be the temporary kind.
There may be some complications with scenarios saved from worldbuilder using this game option. The terrain changes from the game option would be applied to the map when it is first generated, and then applied again whenever the scenario is loaded if the game option is still active.
I noticed early in my Ljosalfar game that I had a -3 relation with almost everyone, for no reason ('past events have drawn our people apart'). Later, at least half the civs in the game spontaneously declared war on me. I did not get a diplomacy popup from any of them, which makes me think that they were forced into war somehow. Is there a mechanic I'm not aware of that causes this? I was in the middle of a war with the Sidar at the time (which they declared on me, and they haven't even met most of the other civs). Could that have something to do with it?
This would make perfect sense if all your rivals were Svartalfar, but I'm afraid I'm not sure what is going on here.
I think such a diplomatic malus can also come form the Camulos constellation event.
It is probably just due to the dogpile warscript code that has been with FfH2 for a long time, which I have not alterred.
Why do hawks get promotions? I'm assuming this also isn't intentional?
Birds can get promotions simply because I thought it seemed odd for them not to be considered Animals.
(I'm seeing a lot of questions and very few answers on this thread. Is this mod being actively developed?)
I have not been spending much time on this mod lately and don't have plans for any major changes any time soon, but do at least intend to keep fixing bugs and incorporating any new releases of MNAI or Platyping's worldbuilder.
I seem to be having trouble accessing the latest patch. All I get at the myflare screen is a blank page. Is there an alternate site that I could access it at?
Thanks in advance.
I can't download from myflare, all i get is a completely blank screen. I bought Civ IV (again, lost my disc) today cause i was really, really itching to play this very modmod. Any tips or help possible?
If anyone can mirror the file for me perhaps or somesuch they'll have my eternal gratitude.
Seconded. If anyone managed to get the file before myflare screwed up I'd be extremely grateful.
I just tried downloading the installer and archive and had no problem doing so. It looks like there have been 127 other downloads before that.
That was when I was logged into my account on on my own page though. When I try using the links provided when sharing the files, I had the same problems you did. I tried to stop sharing and start ti again to get new links, but they did not work either.
I just sent a complaint to their customer support team.
If I don't hear back soon, I guess I'll have to try to remember my password on another hosting site.
I'd rather not reupload the exact same version, but the couple of changes I have made so far don't really seem worth being considered a new version.
(I simply allowed Revelers to upgrade to Shadows and added a couple lines of code to stop the Steal spell from taking the Pieces of Barnaxus/The War Machine/The Mithril Golem away from their respective heroes. That was one reason why certain pieces of equipment were being duplicated, but I think there must be another cause too since it still happens occasionally.)
Maybe if I get the Drown spell working well with a PyHelp tag it will be worth it.

I should really be focused on practicing with AutoCad Civil 3d right now instead of modding. I only have a few days left on my free trial, and have not made my way through most of the tutorials. It would be better to be more proficient before starting an entry level civil engineering job that requires using the software almost all day every day.
I had a interview on Tuesday which I think went pretty well. I'm not sure I answered the Vice President's questions well enough to impress him, but everyone else there seemed to really like me. Three of the employees were out of the office, but they went ahead and introduced me to the dozen who were present.
I was told to wait a week before calling to ask if they had made a decision yet. The VP said they needed to have a few meetings first to deciding how heavy the workload will be in the next few months, and did not sound convinced that they should be taking on anyone new just yet. I am the only candidate they have considered for the position so far, so I'll probably get it if they decide the need is urgent. If they decide to wait a few months I may still be considered for the job, but would likely have more competition.
