Manual: Civilizations

I don't really see the grigori as builder type of civ...

Now that heroic strenght I and II stay on upgrades it's quite easy to dominate the AI with your first two adventurers (I usually go for the beastmaster branch.)

So my overview: To get the most adventurers you should avoid early wonders in your capitol get pacifism and the memorial. Later on also the grigori tavern. It's easier to go for a certain tech branch and get your adventurers to national unit level as fast as possible. Treasure your adventurers! They are the units with the most potential in the game. It's quite normal to get tier 4 units with combat V, heroic strengh I and II by the time your opponets get their avatar units, that don't have the hero promotion and need too fight to get their xp.

How does pacifism benefit the Grigori? They dont have a state religion, and the increase is for cities with state religion. I was thinking that it'd make sense for them to get pacefism, and that a change is in order becuase it would make sense, but I dont think they currently get it, do they?

...stupid me :)

should have noticed this while playing...

Are the Hippus suddenly Evil? I started a new game as them and they are Evil for some reason (intentional or not, someone changed it).

Nope, both leaders are neutral. Did you start in a later era and found the Veil?

Nope... I could give you a screenshot, I just recently installed 0.14.

I started a game as both of the Hippus leaders and they both started as neutral. Are you able to reproduce by restarting a game as that leader? Any chance you changed the alignment value in the editor?

Actually, as I mentioned earlier, I only just installed 0.14, also, I wouldn't want to risk it just being a bug :P

After starting over as Hippus, I found that they were neutral... So I went back to the save cause being evil is cool :P

Overview: The Order is the religion of choice for big, warmongering empires. A Courthouse and a Basilica will reduce city maintenance to zero, while the Spirit and Law spheres provide powerful war spells for the divine casters. Combine this with the free Acolytes / Crusaders you get from spreading your religion, and the Order truly becomes a force that isn't to be messed with.
I'd change the mention of "Spirit and Law" to "Spirit and Fire". I don't feel the Righteous Cause spell (sacrifice a valuable Tier 4 Disciple Unit for a bunch of Crusaders) holds a match to Ring of Flames and Pillar of Fire. ;)

- Niilo

Wouldn't it be better, if the manual was made as a wiki - perhaps hosted by civfanatics? It would in my opinion make it a lot easier for people to contribute and for beginners to find their way in the masses of information.

Whoops, yeah. That's what I meant to say when I wrote it. Changed, thanks. :)

Sounds good to me, if somebody has it set up. ;)

I guess since Kael has the best way of convincing The Powers That Be, he should contact them; after that we'll work out the rest. ;)

Cool about the wiki, now lets go populate it! (skitters off and adds a menu of religions, aren't wikis grand?)
