Small wonder the Afghani's don't have a very high opinion of us.
Sure, they may like us building roads and other stuff, but in their view, we still invaded them.

We invaded Iraq. We assisted the Northern Coalition to kick out the Taliban.

Relatively. For the first part of its rule, its stability was guaranteed by similar dynamics to those I have described. Later is essentially became a British client, and the Afghan "government" essentially controlled Kabul and the immediate area around any garrison. Kind of like the Americans do now.
 
Since when should you trust an organization that doesn't disclose it's actions to people.

Sounds like a breeding ground for corruption.
